The other half of the world is having rainy spells while the other half is experiencing extreme summer. On 29 July 2010, a so-called Crown wildfire in the Los Angeles County, Leona Valley, California broke and thousands of homes have been evacuated. Score of residents have already lost their homes to the Crown wildfire. The combination of hot weather and dry bushes are liabilities in this season and can cause fire. Neighboring areas like the Ana Verde and Quartz Hill is on high alert for possible evacuation due to movement of the fire towards the east.
