Lenten Season Offerings

Lent is widely observed by Catholics like myself. However, during the course of my stay here in Dubai, I have been unable to fully observe this holy season of Lent. I have said my prayers and laid out my offerings and sacrifices on the days to come. I have included church visits and mass offerings as part of my Lenten sacrifice. I am not a regular church-goer because I cannot concentrate when I see other people parading like it's a holy fashion show. I feel antsy like I am sitting on a cold metal church chair and restless. I know I should be focusing my attention to my prayers since it is the primary reason why I am in church. I want to change all that now as my greatest sacrifice. I just hope I will be able to fulfill my duties and obligations as a Catholic not because I have to but because I want to.
