My Daughter's Paper Children Drawn Art

Say what? I thought, when my daughter told me she wanted to take pictures of her paper children, she was referring to those cutout of papers in the shape of a boy or girl that I used to do when I was young. She corrected me and showed me her piece of "drawn art" with little and cute kids in various poses. The artistic concept of this paper child or children started from Japan (what's new?).

She drew several small paper kids, about 1 1/2 inches tall and posed them with real objects she found interesting around the house. It was like art imitating life or the other way around. One thing I can say is, my daughter's drawing is so awesome! I'm a fan!!!






You may download or save the pics but please do not take credit for the art my daughter has painstakingly done. If you want to feature her work, please feel free to leave me a message. Thanks!

      Thanks sis. I'll relay your message to her. I have been prodding her to take this to the next level, like sell her art work digitally for download, etc. She said, she'd think about it... aba! Stomped ako dun ah ;)

    oh wow, i love her art work, so excellently done like a pro, i love the concept of comparing the kids cartoon to real object, makes the drawing really very engaging and awesomely FUN!

    How old is your daughter? She has an amazing talent. I like her style of drawing. This would look good on as a blog header image. :-)

      Thanks sis Tingting. :) I am planning to put her art work for sale in digital format for download. Once I've set up the policies/copyrights at kung ano ano pa, I will surely let our family in FBF know so you can download too. :) Stage mother effect ang peg ko sis! hahaha

      I forgot, she's 15 years old. She started drawing when she was just 5 or 6 I guess.

    You have a very talented daughter. She's lucky to have a mom who encourages and supports her in her interest. It would really be nice if I can feature her work in my blog under hobbies category. Does this kind of art have any specific name?

      Thanks so much sis Teresa for the nice words. The art is just called Paper Children popularized by the Japanese. Please let me know if you will feature her art work. I will let her know so she can dig up from her treasure cove of digital files. :) She's in the Philippines right now for a vacation and when she's back, I'll tell her.     Thanks for the comments everyone! I'm sure my daughter will be tickled pink to read all of your kind words. :) That's why I am saving up for the copic markers kasi she will need them badly for her artwork. :) So if you have kids who loves to draw, do encourage them to pursue their passion. :)
