Father’s Day is when we get to say thanks and celebrate the fatherly figure that influences our lives. It’s the time of year we celebrate everything from his unique sense of humor, “Dad Jokes”, to that person who's always there when we need him. The following gift guide has some fantastic personalized options to help you relay to dad how much you love him while making his big day super special.

Monogrammed Cufflinks:

Whether he wears a suit to work or just a nice dinner, a part of you will be with him when he adds these handsome monogrammed cufflinks to his outfit.  They are a fashionable way for him to have a reminder that someone cares.  If he’s in a business meeting, each time he sees them he knows you’re there to offer support and help him through it.

Personalized Watch and Sunglass Box:

If dad loves watches and has too many glasses hanging around, this stylish organization box is the perfect gift for him.  Not only can it be personalized for an extra special touch, but it is the perfect gift to help him stay organized and stop “misplacing” his favorite watch and glasses.

Wine Barrel Shaped Accessories Kit:

For the dad with a more refined taste, why not get him something unique and sophisticated like this wine barrel shaped tool kit.  Complete with everything he needs to open, pour and store the perfect glass, he’ll love this unique and customizable gift for Father’s Day.

Backpack Cooler Chair:

From tailgating to picnicking, dad will always make this the first accessory to bring.  It’s a cooler that doubles as a chair that triples as a backpack.  What more could he ask for?  Ohh ya, his name embroidered onto it.  This is one of the ultimate gifts you can buy for Father’s Day.

Grill and Golf BBQ Tool Set:

Does dad love golf, bbq and tailgating?  Why not give him the best of all worlds with this fun grill and golf bbq tool set.  His eyes will light up as he sees his new favorite accessories and you’ll love as he starts grilling more and serving some awesome bbq this summer!

Personalized Whiskey Decanter:

If dad likes a finer whiskey or enjoys having company over, this classy decanter makes the perfect gift.  You can have it customized for him and even buy matching glasses to pour his favorite drink into.  This is a classic and timeless idea for Father’s Day.

Personalized Bar Sign:

Does dad’s mancave need a redo?  Maybe there’s open space on the walls.  This personalized pub sign is the perfect gift that he can hang, enjoy and know someone loves him while he’s having “me” time in his private sanctuary.

Personalized Can Dispenser Cooler:

If you want to buy him something useful and practical that he’ll love, this can dispensing cooler is a great option.  Perfect for tailgating, sporting events or even at a picnic.  He can store sodas or whatever he wants and have it dispense them one at a time without having to expose the others to warmth.

Mini Personalized Oak Whiskey Barrel:

If dad is someone who is a collector of liquor and would love an accessory that is noteworthy of conversation then this is one gift he’ll appreciate.  It’s a personalized oak whiskey barrel that is also a functional piece of decor that works as a talking piece, an ice breaker and a way to serve guests a delicious drink while entertaining them.

A Personalized Robe:

There’s nothing more relaxing than lounging in a robe.  That’s why a personalized robe makes the perfect gift for a day when all he is supposed to do is relax.

Happy Father's Day 2013

It's not every day that I get to tell my hubby how much I appreciate everything that he has done for us. And it's not every day that I show him how I value those little things he has done for our family, even to my own family.

It's just fitting to give him this recognition for being the best dad, hubby and best bud a girl like me can ever have.

Happy Father's Day to you honey! Thank you for everything you have done and is still doing to give us the kind of life we deserve, the security, the comfort and most importantly, for the love.

And to all the great fathers out there who selflessly sacrifice their comfort over their family, their lives for the life of their own and for giving so much and getting so little in return, we all salute you for being the Fathers we all deserve.

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!

Remembering My Dad On Father's Day

My dad is no longer with us for 6 years now but each day passes with him in my thought and heart. It seems like yesterday when he was still with us. I remember how groovy he was during his younger years. He would put pomade on his hair like Elvis Presley and sometimes drove around town with his motorcycle and schuberth helmet. He would invite his friends over and watch the basketball and he would call us to join him cheer. He taught us how to ride the bike, climb the tree and held our hands when we crossed the street. He was there to guide and nurture us as we grew.

Tomorrow is another Father's Day without my dad. I feel a tightness in my heart because I am used to celebrate Father's Day with him around. I know he is happy now and I am sure that even from where he is, he knows that I love him dearly and that he will always be in my heart.

Tatay, I just want to tell you how much I love you. I didn't have the chance to say it out loud when you were here but I know you know how much I do.  I miss you every single day. Happy Father's Day Dad. You are the greatest dad a daughter could ever have.

Dreaming of a Happy Christmas

It's been 4 years since my dad left us to join our Creator. It's been 3 Christmases without him too and honestly, all those Christmas Days has been different. It was not as merry as how our previous Christmases had been while he was alive.

It's Christmas time again. I am feeling a vacuum inside which I don't understand. I just miss my dad. It's not the same without him.

A Father's Love

I only came across this video today while searching for inspirational stories to keep my spirits high. I cried watching the video and cried even more when I read the story behind Mr. Hoyt's love for his son, Rick.

I give credits to the one who uploaded this video and from YouTube. I also want to convey my sincere praise to Team Hoyt for the kind of inspiration they give to the world. God Bless.

I CAN ONLY IMAGINE Lyrics, Performed by Mercy Me

I can only imagine
What it will be like
When I walk
By your side

I can only imagine
What my eyes will see
When your face
Is before me
I can only imagine

[Chorus:]
Surrounded by Your glory, what will my heart feel
Will I dance for you Jesus or in awe of you be still
Will I stand in your presence or to my knees will I fall
Will I sing hallelujah, will I be able to speak at all
I can only imagine

I can only imagine
When that day comes
And I find myself
Standing in the Son

I can only imagine
When all I will do
Is forever
Forever worship You
I can only imagine

[Chorus]

I can only imagine [x2]

I can only imagine
When all I will do
Is forever, forever worship you

A Gift Request

My daughter will be in Grade 7 come September. Time flies so fast! I still remember the time when she was in kindergarten tugging a small trolley bag filled with toys, crayons and snacks. Now, I look at her bag and see teeners' books, pens, notes from friends and doodle pads.

We had an agreement before the end of the school term. My husband and I told her that if she pulled flying colors on her Mathematics and Arabic, we would definitely give her something she truly wanted. And guess what, she improved on her Math and the teacher was even amazed by the level of dedication she had shown. Arabic is a hopeless case because it is difficult to learn as they need to read, speak and write this foreign language. Apart from Arabic, she also had French to learn.

When asked by her dad what she wanted, she hastily said "iPad." I paused for a while and asked, "baby is it i-p-o-d or i-p-a-d." Your guess is good as mine! She really loves electronics and gadgets a lot so this did not come as a surprise. She keeps borrowing my iPod Touch as she enjoys listening to her anime playlist. However, when the iPad was released to the market, I have already seen her gawking at the iPad here in Dubai sometime back and I knew she fell in love.

So now I have to check and compare iPad and ipod reviews to see which one will be right for her age. Of course the answer is very obvious - iPod! I made an agreement with her that if she makes it to top 10 this coming school year, she will get the electronic device and that is for sure. You should have seen the twinkle in her eyes ;)

I Miss You Dad...

There is never a day that I don't think of my dad. My dad has been gone for four years and today is the fourth year of my grieving in silence.

They said, grieving takes time. No one can actually say when someone will come out of it. It seems like he is just on a long vacation and that one day he will be back. Deep inside I know he won't and will never be. He already joined our loving Creator and I know he is now happy and free of pain.

I just miss him so much. I am still not used to the fact that he is really gone. I may be in denial up to now but it is hard to let go when you love someone so dearly. I didn't even get to say good bye to him and that hurts me so much.

Dad, I know you're looking down at us right now. I know you can see and feel what we are going through without you. I just want you to know, you are always (always and forever Tatay...) in our hearts and minds. We love you so much and one day, we will meet again in eternity.

A Father's Day Greeting to All

A Father

Tomorrow, 20 June is Father's Day. I would like to greet my dad who is no longer with us a special Father's Day because he had been a pillar of hope for my family. He worked hard and gave his all to give us a good life. I am thankful Tatay! I know that you are watching over us all the time. I miss you so much specially on times like this when we celebrated special occasions and you were always leading the way. I just want you to know that even you're not here, your loving legacy is remembered.

I would also like to greet my husband who has been giving us his support, love and care unconditionally. The one person who truly makes me see that life is worth living. A positive force in my life. A beacon of hope, a person of love. I love you honey and your daughter and I are thankful for your love.

This goes out to my brother as well who is working hard to give his family a bright future. I can see your sacrifices. Keep it up! You are a wonderful person.

And to all the great fathers out there and the fathers-to-be, this day is for you for the wonderful contributions you make to your family and the society.

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY TO ALL YOU GREAT DADS. GOD BLESS!
