Oscar Winners 2011

Do you follow the Oscar Awards' night annually? I don't but sometimes I do hang for a while to see who's wearing what and who's taken to the red-carpet event. I only watch it when my favorites thespians or movies have been nominated. Otherwise, I just wait for the result.

Well, this year is quite different. The actors and actresses nominated are really good. I happen to like both Colin Firth and Natalie Portman and I am rooting for Toy Story 3 as the Best Animated Movie; so I watched the Awards' show.

Without further ado, here are the top winners of this year's much coveted Oscar awards:
Best Actor - Colin Firth in The King's Speech (Yehey!)
Best Actress - Natalie Portman in Black Swan (Another Yehey!)
Best Picture - The King's Speech
Best Director - Tom Hooper in The King's Speech
Best Supporting Actor - Christian Bale in The Fighter
Best Supporting Actress - Melissa Leo in The Fighter
Best Animated Movie - Toy Story 3 (Why am I not surprised? Truly deserving!)

I think the selection is really great this year. Most of the top seeds have won the award. I was also rooting for Mark Wahlberg for his performance in The Fighter. I also think that Jennifer Lawrence's acting in Winter's Bone is one to note. She's young and already recognized by the award's body. I am sure she'll have a long way to go and she'll surely reach the top. I won't be surprised if she wins an acting award soon because she is really talented.

Anyway, I am not disappointed with the outcome this year. On the spot!

And they "played" happily ever after

I have been a big, big Disney fun. I could actually call myself a Disney baby because I grew up admiring everything Disney. So it's really a dream come-true when I visited two of Disney's theme parks in Paris and Hong Kong. It's like a time machine transporting me back to being a kid again and what it feels like to be one.

They played the theme songs of their Disney hits
and I can sing to every song playing! Wow, this is how it feels like to be young again.

I listed my top 15 favorite Disney movies of all time and here they are.
1. Beauty and the Beast
2. Cinderella
3. The Little Mermaid
4. Snow White
5. Alice in Wonderland
6. Fantasia
7. Pinocchio
8. Aladdin
9. Toy Story (all parts)
10. Ratatouille
11. Wall-E
12. Peter Pan
13. Bambi
14. 101 Dalmatians
15. Lady and the Tramp

What's your favorite Disney movie? Can you list 5 of your favorite movies, characters, songs and post them in the comment portion? Let's see what we have in common.

While your listing down your favorites, try Screen Life's Disney Bingo game and have fun with the whole family. This is ultra-fun and a modern way of playing the classic BINGO we all love. Your kids will love the colorful game cards and chips while the TV shows the number called.

It is available in Amazon.com or Drugstore.com so do check it out and let's all play happily ever after.
