Mentally Drained

Okay, the "informal meeting" with the big boss of the department I applied for turned out to be an "informal  'further' interview." I honestly feel so drained right now - mentally that is. I don't know but I suddenly got tired because I was asked the same questions that were asked during the 2nd stage of the application. Although this time, it was thorough. I was asked many things about the application of the system their department was using. I honestly told them that it has been 7 years since I last used the system.

I don't know how I feel now. My feeling is gravitating to being restless and slightly feeling being a "wild card"  because I am pitting against 3 other candidates who are currently using the department's system. 2 of them are from the same department, 1 from a different unit but is very familiar and have hands-on experience with the software the new department is using currently. As for me, well, I can always learn the new system as I have always done in the past. I am quick to learn and I hope they will take that into consideration.

So, the ball is rolling. Where it goes, I somehow know... Then again, I may be wrong...

Third Stage: Informal Tete-a-Tete with the Big Boss

I almost fell from my chair when the HR Coordinator called before noon to inform me that I have a "casual meeting" with the Big Boss of the department where the vacancy was.

Informal meeting? What is that? I wonder...

I asked the Coordinator if I had to prepare for anything, she said no need as it was just a casual meeting. Of course, this is not a reason to be jumping up and down with glee because I am not sure if the same invitation was extended to the other applicants who made it as far as the interview.

So, I am meeting the big boss on Sunday. I don't know what to think this time. I just want to thank God for taking me this far in the application process.

Meanwhile, let me just enjoy my weekend without any additional stress.

Second Stage: Interview!

I was short-listed again for the interview and went through it this morning. There were just four of us but I am not sure if there were other batches rostered on a different day.

I am so glad the interview is over. I had fun and I enjoyed a lot because the interviewers are very warm and they put me at ease the moment I entered the room.

Although I partially let out a sigh of relief, I still have to wait for the news if I have been considered or not. The competition is so stiff. I did my best! That's all I can say.
