Back To Work Again

I always have the same feeling over and over when my vacation is about to wrap in one day. I feel like a kid being robbed of my favorite candy. I want to throw a hissy fit. I want to throw punches in the air. I just want to scream at the top of my lungs because I want my vacation to last longer.

Don't get me wrong. I love my current work place now compared to the last time. It's just that, I think my age is really catching up on me. I want to stay longer at home and lesser at work maybe because I have been working for as long as I can remember.

I am thankful though that my new department is very supportive of the staff's welfare that securing  a vacation leave is never an issue as long as it is not high season. I just feel from the bottom of my heart (and gut!) that sooner or later, I have to follow my dream of being my own boss, having to own my time and not slave away in the corporate scene.

This feeling is all too familiar. I always feel like this every after vacation. It is more pronounced now than before. I think I may have to consider other options soon. I just want to keep traveling and enjoy my personal space and time away from the corporate world.

  1. At the end of the day sis, the decision would always be what best fit your circumstance. There'll be another vacation I bet and that would be another experience.

    Havah great day!

  2. It is always nice to have time for vacation. It is one reason why we work, to enjoy what we've earned. My husband and I do a quarterly vacation. Hubby's work is exhausting that's why he needed long breaks every three months.

  3. As I always say to my friends who are still part of the corporate world, you will know when it is time to leave and do what you really want in life.

  6. I don't blame you if you wanted to have more time at home. I'm just happy I have more time at my hands as of now and I can go with my husband's schedule no problem.

  7. I know where you're coming from. Back then when I had to deal with office works, getting a vacation leave is one thing i fancy about. Para bang ayaw ko ng bumalik pa sa work. But, I NEED CASH then..LOL

  8. I share your feelings Ria, sometimes, I wish I had saved enough already for retirement, not necessarily retire, but work like a substitute teacher where I can say no to work if I want to, and be a substitute when I feel like. Though I love my job, but somehow, I feel like I wanted to do more exploring these days, and shhhhhh, blogging, haha! Gee, haha!!

PS....let me know when you plan to have SD trip and add some AZ/Utah road trip, I can help you out with the itinerary, would be great to meet with you too.

  9. I can't relate with this because I've never worked in a company. Since college, online job na yung nakasanayan ko.. The important thing is gusto mo yung current job mo.

  11. Awwwww I most certainly know that feeling sis...sigh...sometimes I wonder a lot why we have to work even if I know the answer to that...I would love to make you smile and make you feel better to give you energy to face work again...what can I do to make you smile?...just know that you are not alone and that in this huge world where many people seem not to care, you have many friends like me who are also looking forward to one sweet day just travelling and watching the world go by instead of working...and that I am one of your fans...take care, giving you virtual hugs from across the miles! :) and yep, am sure your workplace is happy to have you back!:)

  12. Geez! I know the feeling Ate Ria.

If only we can earn money while we're on a vacation, it'd be so much amazing, isn't it? Hahaha. We can only wish!
