The Colors of the World

I see the sky
And it's all blue,
Like the ocean with its azure hue.

I see the trees
And they are all green
With the verdant leaves on the brim.

I see the sun
And how it glows!
Like a golden ring on a distant slope.

I see a land
With the warm shades of brown,
Which echoes warmth all around.

And I see folks like you and me.
We are part of this mystery.
The colors are rich with variety
Of people, plants, animals and nature's elements in a mould.
For these are the colors of the world.

I have written this poem as tribute to our Mother Earth. Let's support all organizations and causes fighting for the protection of the world we live in.

  1. Ohw what a beautiful poem! If Mother Earth is reading this, she would definitely love it!

We should really take good care of her, we are a part of her.If she's gone, we would be all gone too.

    Happy Earth Day everyday!

  2. Ria,

I think ang third verse mo should read, "I see the sun and how it glows". What do you think. You can edit it. Kasi present tense ang gamit mo sa iba to describe nature around you. If you believe it is correct, then stick to ito.

  3. Hi Ria,

    Thanks for your contribution.
    You are now on: http://worldpoetryday.blogspot.com

    Have a great day,

  4. Just imagining what has Earthday done to us, aside from loving our planet earth. It has transformed us to become poets writing wonderful poems like this ... You have colored the world with flashy words ... Could you tell me please what software you use in composing this poem? Just kidding! Looking forward hearing the audio ... What do you think?

  5. Simple yet genuine, I liked the poem.

  6. Hi Everyone,
Thanks for the wonderful comments. I try my best to give back what I can to mother Earth. It's the least I can do.

Well, sometimes my brain juices produces good stuff...this is one...hehehee! Joke! Thanks!

Have a great Earth Day to all! Don't be shy in expressing your love for mother nature. Support causes and organizations protecting our world. Let's make this a better place to live in for our generation and the generations to come.
