Organized Chaos

I don't want to admit this but I think my daughter thrives well in organized chaos. It means, the more her stuff are scattered all over, the better she can think and perform. I, on the other hand, is the complete opposite.

My daughter knows exactly where her stuff are given the current state of her messiness. She can pinpoint the location of the books, notebooks, pens and pencils, small items and even the spare coins.  I don't think I can ever live with a mess like that. If one suddenly changes the arrangement of my desk, I get totally lost.

I like order in every sense of the word. Sometimes, my orderliness borderlines obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). However, I know when to keep it in check. I just have my preference and I want things kept in a certain order - my kind of order.

So, as early as now, I am already setting our "future dream house rules" for my daughter to abide. She will have her own room just the way she likes it provided she keeps her stuff in the cabinet or shelves. She is a fine lady and as such, she must start cleaning up her mess. Her organized chaos will have to end at one point and she has to start embracing the idea of putting a certain order in her stuff and life.
