Help the Birds this Summer

It is unusually hot these days that even the small creatures cannot bear the heat. It is that time of the year again here in the Middle East when we have to endure the scorching heat and pray that it does not get us. So, imagine how the small creatures feel in this extreme weather condition.

My request is now for my family, friends and loyal readers to please forward this to as many people as you can to spread the word. A little help will go a long, long way to our feathered friends. The picture says it all.

Swimming Au Naturel

We can't deny it but the sweltering summer condition makes us all want to jump to the nearest pool or head to the beach for a good splash. And speaking of swimming, did you know that there are numerous "nudist beach"  listed in Tripadvisor? Well, I don't think I have the guts to go skinny dipping even if I have a good figure (figuratively speaking, no pun intended). I am very prudent so the nudist beach is not my cup of tea for a good summer dip. So, if you're the brazen one and doesn't mind swimming in your birthday suit, then check this list below for some famous nude beaches in the world and here they are in no particular order:

Paradise Beach, Mykonos, Greece
Cap-d'Agde France
Red Sand Beach, Matala, Crete
San Gregorio Private Beach, San Mateo County, CA
Samurai Beach, Port Stephens, Australia
Wreck Beach, Vancouver BC, Canada
Praia Do Pinho, Santa Catarina, Brazil

There are few rules to follow though, No Clothing or clothing is optional and definitely no photos!

Summer is Really Here!

Goodness! It is so hot outside that you don't need to take a bath because you'll soak on your own sweat! Gross, I know but it is true.

The air is so hot and dry. I am having breakouts again because of this seasonal changes. My cheeks are pinkish (hihihihi) and have small rashes like pin-pricks. Arggghhh! I can't put any creme on my face because it will only make my skin more oily than it already is.

Summer is really, really here. There is no denying that anymore. While it is raining in the Philippines like cats and dogs, here, it is the opposite. Sometimes I am tempted to do a "rain dance" to call on rain clouds. We can use a few drizzle here and there.

Tinted Windows and More

Summer has officially arrived here in Dubai. It did make a grand entrance by making us feel the dry and scorching heat of Dubai's summer sun. Our bodies are like being baked in the oven. Running from the air-conditioned premise of our home and the office to our car parked outside is such a feat! Imagine those poor vehicles left under the very hot sun's rays for long. If they can only talk, I am sure they are already cursing us.

My husband is planning to have our car's window tinted and he will check for other car accessories to help diffuse the extreme heat. I don't know why we never had it tinted in the first place when we took the car from the dealer. They were already offering discounted rates and branded tints but we begged off. My husband just don't like how the people here apply the tints on the windows. They put the tints "outside" the window and not from the inner part. So, in due time, the tint wears and tears and make it virtually impossible to see from the inside. It is very hazardous.

I am thankful though that our vehicle is well maintained. At least I am not so worried about the air-condition unit breaking down or prematurely lose its freon. My husband and I just feel that we have to do this soon or we will end up toasted from the sun's unforgiving heat.
