I remember my own parents lecturing me about having to face a very huge responsibility when I get married and have a child of my own because my role as a parent will not be just a care-taker and a guardian but a provider as well. I almost balked at the thought but then, having a child is one of the greatest gift a parent can ever have.
This is the reality we have to face for choosing to be parents. The info below will give you, future parents and for the curious, an insight on the cost of raising a child.

Smiling here and being so grateful to have been blessed with parents who sacrificed so much to provide me everything I needed. Parenthood isn't for the lazy and weak hearted, and given a choice to be a parent or not in another lifetime...I'd always choose motherhood with all its ups and downs because its joys are priceless :) thank you for sharing such beautifully presented facts and data on the cost of raising a child :)
ReplyDeleteDefinitely agree. This reminds me of some friends of mine who keep telling me to have more children but I always told me that it's not about having good looking kids but you have to think of their future and the cost of raising them.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree...I wonder how filipinos back then survived to have 10 or more kids.
ReplyDeleteDisclaimer, this is only my 2 cents view. LOL But I suggests marry at young age since wala naman tayong control sa rising cost of raising a kid. Gets nyo. say if the cost of canned milk today is !k pesos then next year mas mattas na yun. Perhaps in five years it will cost 5 times more, eh mag-anak ka na ng madali kang makatipid. LOL
Hehehe.. Lalo na dito sa US, education is GOLD! libre nga hanggang high school.. Pag college naman, jan sila babawi sa pera..
ReplyDeleteNow, i am starting to think that I should stop buying stuff for these kids and save for their education, lol....thats a lot of money
ReplyDeleteKaya nga now pa lang na wala pa kaming kids, nag iipon na for their future.
ReplyDeleteI admire those parents who puts priority the bright future of their children by providing at least the basic essentials. I am proud of my parents because despite poverty, they were able to send their 3 children to school. That's the legacy that I owe so much to my parents.
ReplyDeletecool infograph. my wife and i married early and we now have 1 child named zachary... we're happy and goes through some issues but we're getting the hang of it. we can't really predict what happens in the future for us but we always got to hang on...
ReplyDeletethanks for sharing this infograph... will surely learn alot from it.
:)
Wow and here I am wanting to have another baby. This got me scared! LOL. I agree with your points, we need to really save for the rainy days.
ReplyDeletewe have so many trials in life, its a matter on how we handle them and i'm sure you are one of those strong women on earth...you can do it..
ReplyDeletewow, its so expensive pala but we as parents, i think sometimes don't think how much it cost us overall na, as long as we give the best that we can do to our kids. anyway, kaya kami happy na to have 2...sabi ko nga sa mga iba na nagsasabi na sundan na, magastos...mahirap magpalaki, hehehe! :) i am so thankful to my parents na kahit mahirap lang kami, they were able to raised me and my brother to be a good individuals. :) thanks for sharing this.
ReplyDeleteYeah,so true that every parent faces those high numbers, hehe! But then,I don't look upon the cost,I love my kids and as much as possible,I wanted to give them the best I can give.
