Transition From Real Cigarettes To Electronic Cigarettes

Are you one of those who vowed to quit smoking gradually without punishing yourself with the after effects of withdrawal? Do you plan to lessen your smoking or switch to a better option? If so, then you can always choose another way to smoke with lesser nicotine and no tobacco. Electronic cigarettes will be the best alternative to smoking the real deal.

Electronic cigarettes are small devices created to mimic the taste and feel of real cigarettes without the harmful tobacco and lesser to nil nicotine level depending on the type a smoker chooses. Its appearance is like a normal cigarette but you will see the difference when you see how the E cigs are disassembled, cleaned and batteries replaced or recharged as illustrated in the parts of the E cigs below.

There are various kinds of electronic cigarettes you can find in the market. The initial release of these electronic cigarettes was complicated and the designs were a bit outlandish. Electronic cigarettes these days look more like the real cigarettes minus the smoke. The newer models offer smokers the experience of smoking without the smoke. Some of the models of electronic cigarettes can help smokers gauge how much nicotine level they can infuse using various e-juice flavors produced by some manufacturers like the ones you will find in 21stcenturysmoke.com site.

Electronic cigarette producers have created wide assortment of flavors added to the e cigs. Smokers can choose from the common fruit flavors of peach, strawberry, apple, cherry and even grape. There are also other aromatic flavors to try such as chocolate, cappuccino, cola, cool menthol and vanilla. The infusion of flavors to e cigs makes the transition from the real cigarettes to electronic cigarettes more interesting. Smokers who have tried the transition prefer the e cigs better as they do not leave a bad taste in the mouth, no second hand smoking, no visual residue causing the teeth and nails to become yellow.

The effects of electronic cigarettes as compared to the real ones is better as smoking electronic cigarettes do not emit harmful smoke. People around the smoker will not suffer from second hand smoking. It is non-polluting and non-carcinogenic too.

Smokers may find the electronic cigarettes a better option to move away from the tobacco-laden cigarettes that are harmful to one's health. Smokers may think that it is a fake cigarette but the sensation and feeling of smoking the real one can still be experienced with the use of electronic cigarettes. Although the presence of nicotine is still found in the electronic cigarettes, the harmful ingredients of the real cigarettes can be abated.

Ways To Prevent Loss of Vision

Our sense of seeing is probably one of the most important senses we are trying to protect and preserve as much as we can. However, not everyone has been blessed with a good eyesight. I am really lucky (and much of it must be credited for eating the right food and not straining my eyes) to have 20/20 even in my early 40s. My daughter who is only 15 is already wearing a prescription glasses which goes higher and higher each year.

So, how do we prevent the degeneration of healthy cells in our eyes? Take note of these tips and prevent  vision loss and macular degeneration.

  • Take multi-vitamin with B6, folic acid, and B12, Vitamin C and E and zinc.
  • Take DHA omega-3 fatty acids supplement. If not, include omega-3 fatty acid rich food in your daily meal like salmon and avocado.
  • If you are on the heavy side, loss weight as people with high LDL cholesterol, high triglycerides and those with high blood pressure are linked to macular degeneration.
  • Eat plenty of green leafy vegetables and fresh fruits especially those rich in beta-carotene like carrots, lutein and zeaxanthin.
  • Quit smoking as smoker have higher risk of developing macular degeneration.
  • Exercise and be active as this help nourish your retina with enough intake of oxygen.
  • Do not stare on your computer's monitor, TV, portable game consoles or any small device that can strain your eyes.
  • If you have a desk job which involves long hours of computer usage, try to gaze away from your monitor every 20 minutes and look at greeneries or cool colors like pastel ones to sooth your eyes.

Smokeless Cigarettes - An Option For Smokers

Smokeless cigarettes or electronic cigarettes have become very popular among people who are trying to cut down on their smoking. As their name implies, smokeless cigarettes provide all the flavor and nicotine as a traditional cigarette without the harmful smoke, tar and carcinogens that go with it. Although doctors warn that they are not 100 percent safe, they are certainly safer than traditional cigarettes, and they can be enjoyed even in places where smoking isn't allowed.

Smokeless cigarettes are electronic devices that resemble traditional cigarettes, but they are really more like an atomizer. They work by vaporizing a solution that usually contains small amounts of nicotine. The solution is usually flavored to taste like tobacco, although there are other flavors available. The solution is vaporized and inhaled, and what is exhaled as "second hand smoke" is really no more than water vapor. This makes smokeless cigarettes popular in places where smoking is not an option.

You can take a look at some of the many smokeless cigarettes at LeCig.com to get a better idea what smokeless or e-cigarettes are like. Although they are unlikely to completely replace smoking altogether, many people are excited about the prospect of being able to get their nicotine fix without having to light up and destroy their lungs.

Stop Smoking

I never understand the reason why people have to huff and puff nicotine. I try to understand as much as I can the benefits of doing so but I just don't get it. Nicotine is an alkaloid found in plants. It has a stimulating effect to mammals and that may have caused the habit-forming ability of people to smoke. That is why a lot of people find it difficult to quit smoking. It is very addictive.

Smoking is a risk factor for the following: heart ailments, stroke and lung cancer. Not only that, it is also linked to cancers of the mouth, bladder, kidney, cervix and others. These effects are only for the smokers. How about the passive smokers who are unwillingly exposed to the ill effects of smoking? They breathe in the harmful substances coming from smoking cigarettes and may trigger asthma and lower respiratory diseases including lung cancer.

This is not something we can shrug our shoulders and move on. I am really thankful that a lot of companies, civic bodies and government institutions are taking part to pass information about the adverse effect of smoking to health. Many public areas are putting up designated areas for smoking. Plenty of malls, offices and public transportation have banned smoking in their premises. We may not be able to stop everyone from smoking but at least we can help some to cut back and others to stop smoking now.

There are ways to help smokers quit this vicious habit. There are help centers out there to provide informative guides, support and counselling to participants who wish to cease the habit. Evaluating Adverse Events in a Global Smoking Cessation Study or EAGLES is just one of the companies supporting the "quit-smoking" campaign. Their trial research aims to assist smokers to kick the habit and live a clean and healthy life.

I don't smoke but I have seen people suffer because of this bad habit. Let us just help out and put a stop to this because smoking is harmful to you and to the rest of us who are not even smoking.
