Since it is handmade, you can create many designs that will always be unique and one of a kind.  I used to make a lot of handmade cards and gift tags before and would start creating as early as July so I could make a lot that I sell to my colleagues, and friends. I used to get good sales which was very nice as it added to the Christmas budget.

Create clip arts or sell your holiday-themed drawings

Let your artistic flair flow and sell your holiday-themed clip arts or drawings. There are plenty of online sites which accepts freelance artists' original artworks. You can submit to any of them. You will get a portion of the sales when someone buys a certain product from that site with your artwork printed on it.

Etsy is one of my favourite site for crafty and handmade enthusiasts. You can open a store there and sell your downloadable art so you can earn extra this holiday season.

It is easy to choose the best clothes for your kids. However, most of them are expensive.

So, either buy expensive clothes and compromise on other necessities or read our tips below.

Here, you can satisfy the need with cheap quality clothes because kids while playing, will spoil and tear it. Eventually, it will be thrown away or will be used for some other purpose. So, spend less on play clothes and more on school uniforms and event dresses.

Yes, the days of non-stop eating, partying, drinking and merriment has come to an end (temporarily!) and we are now in the first day of the new year of 2014. It's time to get serious to the reality after the holidays.

I am not good at making resolutions but I will try to live a healthier life this year. I aim for more travels, more quality time spent with the ones I love and more blogging opps to receive.

I don't believe in astrology nor predictions that the year of the Horse is not good for those born under the year of the Rat. I happen to be born in 1972 so that makes me under the year of the Rat. People are saying that the year of the Horse is not compatible with the Rat born people. I rebuke that and I don't believe such claims.

I just woke up with my first payment for my blog services for the year of 2014 and the mail came from a trusted and regular sponsor. Mind you, it is in 3-digits! Is that not blessed or what?

Contemplating On Selling My Sims 2 Game CDs

Have I told you how addicted I was with the Sims games that I have almost all of the cds and extension packs?  Now, I am contemplating of selling my old favorite PC cds for a price.

I bought them when Sims 2 was released and also purchased the extension packs thereafter. I got hooked with the Sims game simply because it was fun and very engaging. I felt like I own that community where my Sims characters were and that I could do whatever I wished to happen. It was like playing "god" in an amusing way. I remember not sleeping over the weekend just to play Sims. That was how hooked I was with the simulation game. Things change as you get older because those favorite Sims PC games cds I have are just gathering dusts in my bookshelf. I feel bad about it but I am really deliberating on the idea of selling them and save the money for my daughter's college fund. I know the amount won't be much but at least there will be proceeds of the sale to augment the savings.

I know other people will still enjoy this game the way it gave me fun and excitement. It's about time I let someone take hold of my precious Sims 2 PC games cds so at least I won't be feeling bad leaving them in my bookshelf for many years. Games such as Sims 2 will be a good collection for those who loves simulator games.

Every Opportunity Is A Blessing

I used to have that notion that the only thing you can consider a blessing are those opportunities that give you plenty of money in return or the ability to purchase the things you want and live the comfortable and luxurious lifestyle you think you deserve.

For many years, I have accepted that concept to be materialistic and somewhat narcissistic. Little did I know that blessings come in various form. A blessing is not always about money, the high-paying job you have, the luxurious lifestyle you live and the famous people you are connected with. It's about those little things that money cannot buy - the love and support of your family, the comfort of your simple home, the good health, the camaraderie of those people you respect and are true to you and added to that is the other blessings that come in the form of opportunities in your career and business. And even that proverbial saying that when a door closes, another one opens show us the real meaning of being blessed with other opportunities to take.

It has taken years for me to really understand that. So, I am happy to say that I am blessed whether there are paid assignments in my blogs or none, or because I got a positive mail from my sponsors or simply because I woke up again to another bright day, full of hope, surrounded by the people I love (and my furry baby Millie). That in itself is truly an opportunity and I am blessed.
