Health Nut - Avoid The Bad Snacks

Two of the worst snacks in the world are chips and soda or those fizzy drinks. They are very high in sodium and sugar which are bad for one's health and weight.

If you are craving for sugary food and empty-nutrient chips, instead, snack on crunchy baby carrots, cucumber slices or throw in some celery sticks for good measure.

Drink green tea instead and enjoy it hot or cold. If you want to add a bit of sweetness to your beverage, just add a teaspoon of honey.

Clean-Up

The reason why I do not enjoy and like having parties at home is the clean-up after the mess when the very last guest leaves. You see smudges of sauces on the floor, left-over cigars, dirty dishes, stale food, opened soda cans, sticky floor, and a total disarray of stuff.

I must admit, I grew up with helpers at home who would do all the cleaning and washing for my family. However, living in a foreign land does not give me that luxury to afford my own helper. So, I do everything myself even if I did not host the party. Sigh!

Empty Calories

Many of us are soda and alcoholic drinkers. I for one is not spared at times (except for the alcoholic part!). I do drink sodas once in a while but of lately, I have been gulping down sodas like I was a fish in a soda tank! LOL... AND that is very, very bad!

I know we have to take in calories too but taking sodas and alcoholic beverages is synonymous to taking empty calories. They provide nothing healthy except for a temporary surge of energy (probably because of their sugar content) but no nutritional value. These short-term surge of energy can be bad for our blood-sugar levels. They can also ruin your appetite to eat something healthy.

Well, the holidays bring forth astonishing increase in our girth size so be careful with what you will consume this holiday season!
