Three Reasons to Hire a Consultant Before Applying for Your Liquor License in Texas

Having a liquor license can mean the difference between going into business or not. In some cases, it can mean the difference between a profitable company and one hat is losing money. In short, getting and keeping your license is too important to go through the process without the benefit of a consultant. The following are only three of the reasons to speak to a legal expert first.

They can help prevent you from being denied a license

There are many reasons why you can be denied a license. It may be something as insignificant as filling out a form wrong. A consultant can look over your paperwork before you send it in. This important legal check, all by itself, makes hiring a consultant worth the expense. Another issue is putting something down on a form that is a red flag, and this leads to a denial of your license. A consultant can look at your paperwork, and let you know if there are changes to be made in your company before you file for a liquor license.

They can speed up the process
There is a certain amount of time that it will take to get your liquor license, and this can be longer than you are prepared for, but you simply need to be patient. The problem is that this time period can be much longer if you have not submitted the correct documentation. Although missing documentation is not likely to lead to a denial of a liquor license, it will likely stretch out the process, and your license will take an even longer time. A consultant can make sure that you understand everything that must be submitted and everything you ar required to do in the jurisdiction you are operating your business in.

A consultant can help you keep your license
Once you have been granted a license, a consultant can be valuable in explaining how to keep it. Businesses lose their license to sell alcohol all the time in the state of Texas, and a consultant can advise you on the most common ways your specific type of business is likely to lose its license as well as what can be done to prevent this from happening.

A liquor license is simply too important to take for granted. Make sure you contact an alcohol license Dallas TX consulting firm before you start the application process. This is a smart choice , and you will not regret this decision.

Party Smart To Feel Great And Avoid Hangovers

Nothing puts a damper on the party spirit like worrying about whether tonight's festivities are going to turn into tomorrow's hangover. But there are ways to enjoy all the sociability and fun of adult beverages without sacrificing a day to recovering. Here are some tips that can take the pain out of the day after.

Remember that it's easier to avoid a hangover than to deal with one. Taking precautions before you start partying is a much more effective tactic than trying to find a cure for the nausea, headache, and depression that a full-fledged hangover entails.

Eat before you drink. Drinking alcohol on an empty stomach is a bad idea for several reasons; without food to act as a buffer, the alcohol will absorb more quickly, you'll feel tipsy much more quickly, and the hangover-producing effects of alcohol will be much stronger. Foods that are high in both fat and carbohydrates are the best choice, because they'll do the most to slow the absorption of the alcohol and reduce the production of acetaldehyde, the chemical that's believed to be responsible for hangover symptoms. Pizza is a great choice for a pre-party meal, but a tuna sandwich made with plenty of mayo will also do the trick.

Drink only one type of alcohol. An evening that includes beer, wine, whiskey, and gin may sound like a great night out, but it's a recipe for a whopper hangover the next day. The more diverse elements your body has to process, the greater the hangover potential, so decide on one type of alcohol and stick to it for the entire evening. Bonus tip: dark colored alcohols like red wine, whiskey, brandy, and bourbon have a higher hangover potential than light colored alcohols like gin, white wine, and vodka.

Stay hydrated. This is particularly important, because alcohol is a diuretic and many of the typical hangover symptoms are caused by dehydration. Start by drinking plenty of water before you go out, and try to alternate water and alcoholic drinks throughout the evening. If you're fond of cocktails, it's a great idea to stick to ones made with healthy alcohol mixers like Vling Hydration Mixers which provide electrolytes to keep you hydrated.

Drink responsibly. Moderation is key; using your head tonight will definitely help you avoid a hangover tomorrow.

Pure Organic Green Tea Matcha Review #greentea

** I received this product for free for evaluation purposes. My feedback is 100% mine and may vary from yours.

The first time I have tasted matcha was during our family trip to Japan. It was everywhere, from the KitKat Matcha flavoured chocolate to cupcakes and cakes to lattes and smoothies. So, I am very thankful to receive this organic matcha powder to try at home because I love matcha and it is a healthier option to drink rather than colas or those sugary fruit juices.

100% Pure Organic Matcha is a nice-tasting beverage to have if you want to skip on the sugary sodas and fizzy drink. Aside from it being natural and free from sugar additive, it is a better and healthier option to have when you feel like drinking juices, sodas and caffeinated drinks.

(This is my iced green tea matcha which I prepared with few ice cubes, low fat milk, and matcha powder. I used a blender in the pulse setting and it was yummy!)

As for the taste, it has a very distinct green tea taste without being too bitter and it’s even great just plain with hot water for a good latte instead of drinking caffeinated coffee or tea. You can actually skip the sugar when preparing this green tea matcha as it is already flavourful. I used a small amount of low fat milk to make my iced green tea matcha latte drink. It was really yummy!

The texture of the matcha tea is soft and very powdery and when you prepare your drink, it doesn't clump as long as you mix it well with hot water if you prefer to make a hot green tea matcha latte.

It is easy to prepare and when you purchase this product, it comes with a free e-book of green tea matcha recipes you can try not only for preparing your matcha tea but also for baking, smoothies and latte.

It is 100% organic and free from chemicals and preservatives.

It is very high in antioxidant EGCg which is known for its cancer fighting properties. And aside from being rich in antioxidants, it also have health benefits like boosting one's memory, provides energy because it also contains the amino acid called L-Theanine which is great for focys and memory, stimulates metabolism, and has fat blocking and calorie burning properties too.

1 pouch has a net weight of 4 oz (113g) and has a resealable zip-lock.

Review - Ice Ball Mold

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

The usual ice cubes are classic and timeless. Sometimes, you just want to be creative and playful with your drinks and having a different ice shapes usually makes a noticeable change on the presentation of your drink. And I am thankful for this Ice Ball Mold for doing that.

My husband enjoys having a cold drink to unwind on weekends. We usually buy the factory-made ice packets from the nearby grocery.  However, there are times when you just want to up the ante when you're serving drinks especially when my husband has guests at home.  The Ice Ball Mold from StyloPhora does the trick! One glass, one sphere ice ball and the drink becomes interesting!

What I like:
Aside from making my drink lively, playful, and creative, the sphere-shaped ice is economical.
The produced ice from the ice mold takes a while before it melts completely in the drinks compared to the ice cubes.
One ice! That's all it takes for your drink to stay cold longer. No need to keep replenishing unlike with the smaller ice cubes.
The sphere can make 2.5" ice.
It is made of high-grade silicone approved by the FDA.
It is dishwasher safe.
It is BPA (Bisphenol A - a chemical found in hard plastics which is usually used to line containers of bottles, cans, etc. that is found in our food and drink container. This chemical also poses health hazards).
It is stackable so you don't have to worry about kitchen clutter or where to store it afterwards. Just use the same container it came in with when you purchase it.

What I don't like:
The only thing I wish for this product is that it will be sold in 1 dozen per set, not just 3! Otherwise, the product is perfectly fine. My husband and I love it!

Specification/Materials:
High-quality food grade silicone

Packaging:
Clear plastic tube

Price:
It is sold for $39.99 but currently on sale for $13.97 (excluding shipping or taxes, if applicable)

My recommendation:
I definitely recommend this product. It's good not only for hard drinks but also for your iced teas and even your kids' juices!

This product is brought to you by StyloPhora. You can purchase this from their site or from Amazon.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Glass Dharma Glass Straw Review

Finally! A glass straw that I can use over and over again without adding more trash to the the environment. The Glass Dharma Glass straw is the perfect straw for juice drinkers like myself. Before using glass straw, I used to buy packets of straws and dispose them after each use. Not only that they are plastic and can probably leach chemicals to my family's drinks, they also contribute to the wastes in the environment. And that is a big no-no for us.

So, I am very glad that my family and I have now switched to Glass Dharma Glass straws. There are plenty of benefits in using glass straws and let me just give you some that will help you switch to these straws.

1. Environmental friendly - They are made of glass and not chemicals. So, we are not polluting the environment by limiting the wastes.

2. Reusable -  Just wash them every after use.

3. Does not have plastic taste - I don't like the taste of plastic in my mouth when I am drinking juices and sodas. It changes the taste for me but with Glass Dharma glass sraws, there is no taste of any plastic or chemicals at all.

4. It is economical in the long run - You save money by using glass straws because you don't have to dispose them. All you have to do is wash and store for future use.

Visit the Glass Dharma site and choose different sizes and diameter of glass straws for your drink. Below is a product guide for you to choose the right straws for your drinks. You can also buy accessories like brushes and soft sleeves made of hemp. They are slo offering free shipping delivery within the US and Canada areas for orders above $100. Olives in Martinis

I received this forwarded mail from a colleague and thought of sharing it to those who love Martinis. I am not patronizing drinking alcohol, so don't get me wrong. I just thought it would be nice to know the reason why olives and Martinis go well. Here's why:

"Some say the olive is the best part of a martini. Martini drinkers often claim that garnishing the beverage with olives gives it an extra kick of flavor. Cocktail party-goers insist that the simple olive garnish turns gin and vermouth into a martini.

The Facts
1. The olive has its positive health effects, but it's hardly the reason why it's a necessary ingredient in a great martini. Bar olives used in the drink are preserved in brine and their salty flavor alters the taste of the drink.
Martinis are typically garnished with three olives; any additional are served on the side. Many recipes for the classic cocktail recommend using gourmet olives to embellish the drink.

Eating Martini Olives
2. Dedicated martini drinkers savor the olives at the end of the drink. Olives soak up some of the gin and vermouth, giving them a unique taste.
When the drink comes with more than one olive, martini lovers typically eat one olive with the first sip, using a cocktail pick or just swallowing. The second or last olive is swallowed with the last of the drink.

History
3. There is no definitive story on the creation of the martini, but folklore suggests the drink was first mixed during the California Gold Rush.
"In 1849, a miner struck it rich and was returning to San Francisco. The miner, arriving in Martinez, the first large town he hit, wanted to celebrate. He walked into our leading bar and asked for champagne," according to the City of Martinez website. Champagne was not available. "However, the bartender told him (the miner) that he had something much better than champagne and served a drink which the bartender said was a 'Martinez Special'. The miner liked the drink and ordered for the house. Over a period of years the name Martinez became martini."

Types of Martini Olives
4. No matter what type of olive you use, always use fresh ones. Old olives will ruin a martini.
There are countless types of olives that can be added to a martini. In addition to the typical bar cocktail olive, gourmet olives stuffed with garlic, blue cheese, onion, anchovies or almonds may also be used to give a martini a more distinctive flavor.

Misconceptions
5. Recipes that call for cocktail onions instead of olives do not make a true martini; they make a Gibson. The olive garnish is what makes the martini cocktail. When other garnishes are used, it becomes an entirely different beverage."

10I wish I can drink gallons upon gallons of orange juice if it is not for my hyper-acidity. The good ol' orange juice is good for your joints, gives needed Vitamin C and aids in the prevention of our bodies' inflammatory processes when taking very heavy meals. Also, drinking orange juice which is rich in flavonoid gives our aging joints some lovin'.

So folks, drink up on your daily dosage of orange juice and be healthy.
