Girls Talk - Childhood Friends

I have plenty of childhood friends. In fact, I recently reconnected with them thru the help of Facebook. See, I told my husband that Facebook has its good points ;)

There are too many to name and I don't want to name names for the sake of not hurting other's feelings if in case I forget to mention someone.

So, most of my childhood friends are in my Facebook. Even one of my friends way back kindergarten is now my renewed friend in Facebook. Thank goodness for Facebook!!!

Girls Talk - Buffet Food and My Choice

Buffet and I do not go well. For one, I cannot finish a plate let alone consume so many variety of food in one go. My hubby tries his best not to take me to any restaurant with buffet serving. He says I eat like a mouse but he pays like he's paying for the entire nation for a buffet. I think he has a point! Hehehehe.

However, that does not stop me from enjoying the food served on a buffet setting. I love Chinese food so if they are serving Asian set, I always dig in the main course specially if they have Chicken in Orange or Lemon sauce or Manchurian Chicken. Forget the hors d'oeuvres or the dessert! So there, I love Chinese food and that is always my preference when it is served in buffet.

Hop along to Niko's blog for my other blogging sisters' entries. Bon appetit!

Girls Talk - Posh Meal

I am certainly not a food connoisseur so I don't actually know if I am eating an expensive food or not. If I get to see the price on a menu, only then I can tell that it is expensive.

I do not dine much on fancy restaurants. Probably on few occasions when friends invite us for lunch or dinner. I think the most expensive food I have ever eaten is the caviar and lobster thermidor. I ate the caviar when I was upgraded to business class sometime back on my trip to the Philippines. The lobster thermidor was a treat from a friend.

I surely loved their taste. I just hope somebody treats me again next time ;)

Hop on to Niko's blog and find out what posh meals our other blogging sisters have eaten in the past.

Girls Talk - Fave Chips

I am not a big lover of chips or junk food. I do eat once in a while when the craving for weird taste strikes. I do have a particular chips that I always buy when this craving strikes - Pringles Sour Cream and Onion (the green one). I just love the taste. I really don't care whether the taste and smell linger longer than usual even after you brush. It's my fave!

If you want to see what my other blogging sisters' favorite "sinful treats", head to Niko's blog and find out.

Bugger! Now I feel like eating chips!!!

Girls Talk - Comfort Food

I thought the previous month's GT theme would never end. Too much revelation, I tell yah! ;)

Anyway, here's another revelation but this time it's on the palatable side. I'm not really sure how to define comfort food. Is it a weakness that make you hungry for more? Or is it the food you chow down when you're upset or stress-eating???

So, to clarify that, I am posting the 'comfort food' I define as something that makes me weak in the knees - chocolate cake! I just love chocolate cake specially the moist and spongy ones. I am not a chocolate bar lover per se but when it comes to chocolate cakes, I am a major fan. Yum!

Girls Talk - My Favorite Part

Thanks to JLo (a.k.a. Jennifer Lopez!) for putting the "round derriere" on the pedestal. I hate to admit it but I have a JLo butt. I suppose that is the most sexy part of my body. Most of my friends' rear are flat so they envy my round one. I keep telling them, chop them off and I will still have a round butt leftover...LOL!

(Skinny me with a not-so-skinny bum...hehehehe!)

I used to get very conscious of my well-formed tushy but it is genetic. My mom and other relatives have round bums. Also, when other people try so hard to inject "fat" on their behind to make it round, I try my best to conceal it by wearing loose trousers. However, my mom and friends (and even my hubby!) told me to embrace my full figure because girls will do anything to have a bum like mine. Either it is a compliment or a command, I don't know about that. I think they are right. God gave me this round bum and I should be thankful.

Girls Talk - In the Flesh

This time I won't mind showing my "slim" figure wearing shorts.

I am aiming to get that body back! No stopping on what it takes to be slim, trim and healthy again.

I wonder what my other blogging sis posted. Head to Niko's blog to find that out.

Girls Talk - Figure! Figure! Figure!!!

I am so relieved that February GT is over. However, my sigh of relief turned to a manic palpitation when I checked sister Niko's March GT theme. I hope she won't mind if I dodge this one as I prefer to keep my vital stats under wraps especially when I am on my quest to lose substantial amount of weight. Yes, when I say substantial, I mean big, enormous figure.

As far as sharing is concerned, I will just give few:

AGE: I am turning 38 this March.
HEIGHT: Barely there! Hahahaha!!!! Let's just say, I am "pocket-sized" for your convenience.

So, in keeping with the faith of regularly posting GT topics even when I skipped February because I didn't have anything special cut out for me for Valentine's Day to share; I am posting this dodgy GT. ;) Peace!

Girls Talk - Me as a Lover

I am not sure how to describe myself as a lover without having to "blow my horn." This is as honest as I can get in my description.

I am a typical Piscean and as one, I love very deeply. Relationships for me are very important so I am very loyal.

I am sensitive and very passionate about many things and sometimes (unconsciously) I tend to smother my partner too much. My dear hubby does tell me to ease a bit when I overdo it because I also respect his own "space."

My love style is very conventional. I am a hopeless romantic.

What does my other blogging sisters have to say about themselves as Lovers? Want to find out? Head on to Niko's blog and have a good read.

Girls Talk - My One True Love

I am so relieved that last month's very intriguing theme is over and our marriage is intact! LOL! Since it is the month of Love, Niko decided to make this month's theme about love and your love.

My true love is obvious because I am married to the guy. My hubby is the man I will be with for the rest of my life. He completes me. He tames my mood swings. He neutralizes my craziness. He supports me in everything I do and he believes in what I can do even if I doubt myself. He is the father of my princess, the man who provides roof over our heads and food on our table. He is the man of the house. He is my husband and he is my true love...

I wonder who's who amongst my blogger sisters? Head on to Niko's blog and read their revelations :)

Girls Talk - First BF

Thank goodness, this is the last of the "First" theme of January's Girl's Talk. I hope it will be a different tune next month. I had palpitations! Tiny beads of sweat trickle down my forehead each time I turn a post here. LOL! Just kidding! My hubby is not the jealous type and besides, this is my past and we will leave it where it should be.

My first BF experience was more of a mutual-understanding kind of relationship. We were first year in high school. He was my classmate and a childhood friend. We went to the same school in elementary and were classmates at one point. Then I had to move to the suburbs and next time I knew it, he was in my high school class. We clicked right away.

No naming here because our siblings are good pals up to now. It was a platonic relationship but we knew we "liked" each other. Although we were never exclusive, everybody in school knew we were an item. Ahhhhh, the joys and thrills of being young ;)

Girls Talk - First Kiss

Why? Why? Why can't I say no to sis Niko on doing this? hehehe... Well, I want to be a good blogging friend and sis to her so I will commit to this month's theme. Hoping and praying my dear hubby does not read this. Oh heck, like I care! LOL! I'm sure he kissed other girls before me too ;)

Tiny beads of sweat trickles on my forehead as I type this post and sing Katy Perry's I kissed..blah...blah...blah. I try to wrack my head whether I'll wig my way out on this or not. Guess, Niko won! My take on Katy Perry's song will be "I kissed a jerk and I hate it!" LOL!!!

My first kiss was with a jerk! Who else but with my ex-bf and I won't say which one. Let's just say I am trying my best to get something out of a suppressed memory. And I'll leave it to that. ;)

Girls Talk - First Date

Ah, the joys of being young and in love and being young. Did I say being young twice? LOL! Well, this month's topic is making me nervous. I was not the kind of girl who went out on dates while still in school. I did have some fun here and there but I had my first official date when I was already in college.

My first date was with my ex-boyfriend whom my family didn't quite approve of. Come to think of it, I couldn't even remember where he treated me? I knew we had lunch date but I could not recall where.

Girl's Talk - First Crush

This month's theme is quite intriguing as I reminisce my childhood days. Much as I want to keep Pandora's Box closed for all eternity, I may just have to take a peek and share my "firsts" to my sisters here. *wink!!!

My first crush was Henry Thomas. You know, that cute, freckled boy who starred in Extra Terrestrial way back in the 80's? I was still in elementary then and I remembered watching E.T for the millionth time and memored every dialogue in the scenes. Then I remembered bugging my mom to take me to Rustan's in Cubao to buy special stickers to put in my album and they were all about E.T. and the casts. I went to the extreme of writing Universal Studios asking about his address and expressing my "love and affection" to Henry. I guess my letter never reached him. Otherwise, we could have been married! LOL!!!

Isn't he a cutie?

Girls Talk - Christmas Decoration

It's Thursday again! And why am I excited? Well, I get to talk to my blog sisters! Yehey!

This week's theme is my favorite. It's about Christmas decorations. Although our Christmas 2009 is a bit subdued compared to last year when money abound (hehehehe!!). Every year, I make it a point to change color motif and design for our Christmas tree. Last year it was red and gold combination. This year, my family decided to focus on blue and silver. So, this goes without saying that our tree is decked with blue and silver ornaments. However, the Holiday table pieces are still the same: Santa, Angel and Snowman.

Girls Talk - Christmas List

This Christmas is a different one compared to the previous Christmases we have had in the past. I honestly don't have anyone nor anything in my Christmas Wish List.

I am singing a different tune this year because of the ongoing recession. I just feel a wee guilty about spending much when the budget is tight and the world is going through a rough time. Although I have few gifts under our Christmas Tree this time of the year, I will still have something special for the people close to my heart.

Girls Talk - What's Your Birthday

It's Thursday again and it's time for Girls to talk in Girls Talk! This week's topic is about birthdays.

Well, I was born in March so my sign is Pisces. I honestly don't know what my birth month means so I searched the net and found this. Beside are my comments whether they are true or not or almost ;)

21. Moody - ASK MY HUBBY....HARHARHAR!

As for my birthday, I was born on March 15. My mom said (or she may be pulling my very short legs!) that she was chit-chatting with their neighbor when her water bag broke. So, amongst the siblings, I was the only one born in a polyclinic. Yes, a clinic. A small clinic! Sigh... I guess my mom didn't realize she was due and had not planned to give delivery in the nearest clinic my dad and her could find. Nevertheless, I grew up fine. At one point, she even said she could just have delivered where she was standing near the "santan bushes." Oh my! ;)

Visit Niko's blog to find out what our other blogger sisters (or even brothers') birthday month says about them.

Girls Talk - Fave Gift!

Oh, I hope Niko dear won't kill me for posting this too late. I am so sorry but I am not one to renege a commitment so here is my very late post on Thursday's GT topic.

I have received so many gifts in my life that if I account for each and everyone of them, I may take several posts to do that. However, there is one very close to my heart... my hubby's birthday gift to me when I turned 30 many moons ago.

He gave me a diamond pendant chain. It's one of the few jewelery I have which I guard with my life. I rarely buy myself something very valuable so this gift is special.

Girls Talk - Fave Pastime

I have to say, my favorite pastime is my arts and craft session. I am more geared to tinkering on polymer clay and making handmade cards.

Second favorite thing I do is blogging and I am glad I did this, otherwise, I wouldn't meet lovely people like the ones in my blogroll. You all know who you are :)

Apart from the above, I guess you can squeeze Facebooking (verb for using Facebook all the time...LOL). I am so addicted to it that I ask most of my friends and relatives to add me up. So pips, add me up!

Girls Talk - Fave Chocolates

Sorry Niko dear but I am not that much of a chocolate lover. In fairness, I do consume once in a while, chocolate cake and some chocolate goodies. My favorite is the premium Swiss chocolate - Lindt specially the Lindor. I just love them!
