Jewelery can mean a lot of things to a lot of people. For a man, a nice watch or a gold ring on his finger can signify that he has a lot of money and wants people to know about it. For a woman, it could mean that she likes to show off and call attention to herself by wearing as many shiny objects as possible.

One of the most recognizable forms of jewelry is the wedding ring. It signifies that you are in a committed relationship with a man or woman who you love and cherish. The ring may come with an inscription on it that means something to both yourself and the person who you are married to.

Jewelry can be quite valuable depending on the size, cut and material that it is made from. A large piece of gold could be worth several thousands of dollars while a silver necklace could also be worth a large sum of money depending on how the silver market is doing.

Accessories For Me

I am not a keen jewelry person. I am happy to wear any kind of accessories even if they are not gold or silver or diamond-studded. I can simply wear threaded and beaded necklace or steel necklace or even the recycled ones as long as they add flair to my style and outfit.

I think my husband is quite lucky because I don't ask for fancy stuff when it comes to jewelries. I am so content with the affordable ones as long as they go well with my outfit.

Necklaces and Accessories

I love wearing accessories but not much of the real gold necklace kind. My husband is very lucky because I don't even ask for jewelries on special occasions. I am content with what my mom gave me and what I have bought with my first pay check.

I have plenty of accessories hanging in my closet. Some of them are choker style. I find the choker style not appealing anymore. I was about to throw most of the chokers but I suddenly remembered the necklace extender I saw in one of the boutiques in the nearby mall. I may get one and use it so I can still wear the chokers. I feel bad discarding them because some of them are gifts of friends and others I have bought from my travels abroad.

Fashionable Accessories

I am fond of accessories more than the real deal. I only have jewelries and most of them were from my mom and gifts. I think, I only bought two gold jewelries out of whim.

I enjoy accentuating my outfits, whether they are for office or casual wear with chunky chamilia beads. Some of my long necklaces are wooden and made of glass beads. I have few Swarovski crystals but the rest are made of glass beads and faux-gems.

I really don't mind wearing inexpensive accessories. I think they can be sophisticated too.

Beads and More Beads

My daughter received a nice jewelry making supplies with lots of glass beads for Christmas. She eagerly opened it and started with the project over the weekend. She took my neck measurement and asked for my preferred colors amongst the selection. I happily obliged because she was making me a bead necklace. She knows how much I love wearing accessories rather than the real deal.

Her project is progressing well. She even asked me to try it just to make sure her beads are aligned and the length is enough for me.

She really enjoys doing arts and craft. She is following my footsteps and I am so proud of her. I hope she continues to make use of her God-given talent and creativity for the good.
