Going On Leave Soon

The first month of the year has proven to be a one to reckon with. My workload is so immense and testy. It is also extremely stressful and time constraint and most importantly, it has changed me to become a mini-monster in a span of 3 weeks.

My patience is wearing off and it's only January 2014! I desperately need to get away soon before I snap at someone again. One thing that peeves me is when my personality is getting affected by the stress. I don't like that because I AM NOT LIKE THAT - a big B! However, for some very unconscious reasons, people at work (and even at home) see the toxicity level of stress taking its toll on me.

That is why, I deserve a leave and I will go on one in few days. I have to get away from all the hassles, stress that I somehow drag into 2014, unknowingly and not my fault because all those stuff are never ending unless one has been accomplished.

Anyway, no time to rant and I don't want that. I should be happy. So, I'll be away for few days this February. There's won't be any activity in my blogs for several days so I can unwind and enjoy 2014 in a better perspective. I have to recharge and detox both personally and professionally. It's just too much negativity stemming from one task. And that is just ONE task. Imagine, if I have to do that singular task day in and day out, I'd probably go bonkers. Well, this is where vacation leaves come into play.

I'm On Vacation Leave

After many weeks of thorough planning, changing of minds, changing of bookings, rearrangement of itinerary, I can officially say I am on vacation leave!

It is not the long leave like I always have  but certainly a good break t have to get away from the craziness here. So, I won't be posting as regular as I have used to but will check in once in a while just to make sure I don't miss out on opps.

It's not a long leave. It's just a week-long vacation leave but it's a much needed vacation.

I'll chat with all of you on the 2nd week of December. Until then!

This Blogger Is On Blog Leave

Every blogger needs a break from the blog scene and I am taking my blog leave from October 25 to 31, 2012!

Last time I went on a blog leave was last July and even then, it was a short break too just like now but it was something my mind begged so I could recharge and enjoy my time with my daughter. This time it's the whole family.

We are visting some relatives again in New York and we just love that place! The weather is cool and inviting, there are lots of goodies on sale and the autumn foliage is starting to show its wonderful hues. Besides those wonderful stuff, I kind of miss Shake Shack and Century 21!

Vacation Is Over

I cannot believe how soon time flies. Few days ago, my daughter and I was packing our bags for our trip to Singapore and we came back last Sunday. The fun is ending for me today as I ready myself to go back to work.

The whole Singapore trip was fun; although there was rain here and there on most days. We managed to enjoy ourselves while enjoying the downpour at the same time. Thanks to the "raincoats" sold at Universal Studios. We still had fun and that was the crux of this trip.

9 days seem to be so short! It is back to reality again and looking forward to the next trip. We haven't decided where to go yet and that will certainly depend on the budget. My daughter's prodding us to go to Spain and Portugal. Let's see.

This Blogger is on Blog Leave

Yes! I will be on blog leave for a week starting tomorrow. It's not that long but long enough to miss the blogosphere and the internet all together. I will try my best to check mails and comments while I am enjoying my R & R and bonding moment with my daughter but cannot guarantee that 100%. This is the only time I can switch my phone off and actually enjoy the real meaning of a "vacation leave."

So, I'll be back on 11 July 2012 to do my regular posts and comments.

Rain, Rain, Go Away

It's been 4 days since my daughter and I arrived in Manila but we haven't seen any sunlight yet. All we saw were rain and more rain! I could barely go out because it is pouring every day. I haven't seen some of my family and friends yet and I haven't done what I have planned to do.

I only have few days in my leave so rain, rain, please go away. Let me enjoy my stay!

Back from Korea

Every fun and great vacation has come to an end. That really is a bummer but hey, it's reality! The flight from Seoul was approximately 9 hours and 20 minutes. It was longer to come back from going to which was only around 7 hours and 30 minutes. Probably, it was because of tailwind. Anyway, it is back to reality for all of us. The short vacation is so short but we had fun.

My mom-in-law was so surprised to see us there. Just like the Singapore episode, we did not take videos nor pictures of the "surprise moment" because my sister-in-law's family arrived part midnight. We were so drained and dazed so we fell asleep. We'll probably get the "surprise-look" next year, I hope!

We liked it there. The weather was great as usual because I was kind of biased with that. I love cold weather so I will find it very pleasant. Actually, it was chilly with the cold, crisp air biting the skin. Come to think of it, the season was just the start of autumn. I could imagine already what it would be like when it is winter.

Sigh... I wish the vacation is longer. I had fun! Although I didn't get to buy any souvenir, except for my daughter's key chain only, I am happy. We got to see many places and sampled their Korean dishes.

I will post the pictures as soon as I have time to label and load them on my pc. For now, I just want to relax and sleep for a while. Tomorrow is back-to-the-grind day again. Argh!

Going To Korea!!!

I am so excited! This is our first time to visit Korea. We just got our visas and raring to go...but not just yet! My leave does not happen until the end of the month so I have few more days to bear and grin it in the office.

I have been researching about the country since 2008 when we initially planned to go there instead of Europe. However, the lure of Germany and Italy were overpowering the charming country of Korea. So we decided to wait for some time. Then recession came but thank goodness, we managed to visit the great USA even before the peak of recession took its bite.

We still have cancelled a lot of planned trips after that. We were supposed to visit the US again last January but called it off due to an unexpected circumstance surrounding my passport. So, for 2010, our annual family trip will be in the beautiful country of South Korea. This time there will be no shopping involved because our budget is very, very tight. It will be plain sightseeing and relaxation only. This trip, by the way, is an all-expense-paid trip of my hubby for us. He knows I am so stressed so he is treating me and our daughter there. 

Korea, 우리가 간다!!! ( <---- Got that from the internet...hehehe). It says - Korea, here we come!

Gearing Up for a Short Vacation

It has been more than a year now since I last had a vacation back in the Philippines. I was trying to manage my finances in this difficult time. I avoided every opportunity presented in the past for a trip back home because every time I come home, money just disappear so fast. That was not something I was ready to accept. My budget is so tight right now that my short vacation to see my family is planned to the minute details. I cannot over-spend on unnecessary matters and cannot eat out. It will just a pure R and R with the people who matters in my life.

So, I will not be blog-hopping for few days starting 2 July. I just want to spend my time with my family and enjoy the vacation even for a short while.

Dateless on Valentine's Day

While lovers all over the world scamper for the best seat in the restaurant or a fine date in a nice and cozy place, I am stuck at home enjoying my much deserved R & R. That's rest and relaxation which have been deprived from me for several months.

Just few weeks ago, before I learned that our vacation to Los Angeles was going to be sacked, I planned for a romantic get-away with my hubby while I leave my daughter with my aunt. I was already checking out motorhomes from the Internet. I thought hubby and I could drive off to Lake Tahoe for a romantic date. Poof! That's the sound of my dream being pricked by a needle!

So here I am, day-dreaming in sunny Dubai...

Back in the Grind

Well, well, well, like they always say, "all's well that ends well." I am back in the grind and have lots to catch up on. We all had a good time, tired but enjoyed every minute spent in our stay with our families in the US. So, let me just warm my seat for a moment and I'll be back in normal gear.
