Food Should Taste Good - Brown Rice Crackers

Food Should Taste Good is one of my family's favorite brand of snacks. There's so much variety to choose from their product line and so far, we have tasted all the flavours available in their Pita Puffs, Kettle Cooked and now, the Brown Rice Crackers.

There are 3 new flavours under the Brown Rice Crackers line from Food Should Taste Good namely:

  • Peppercorn Blend
  • Roasted Red Pepper
  • Tomato and Basil

The original Sea Salt is one of the flavours we prefer and my favorite is the Tomato and Basil. The latter has that distinct Basil taste which I love and it's not very overpowering and not salty at all. The same goes with the other new flavours. They are not very peppery and spicy. For me, they just have the right blend of pepper to make them tasty.

The texture of the Brown Rice Crackers is a bit crunchy when first bitten and becomes a bit smooth once you're chewing it. I find it quite interesting.

The good thing about Food Should Taste Good snacks is that they are not salty and definitely a better option for a healthier snack as most are oven baked chips compared to the commercial snacks you buy at the grocery.

There are plenty of ways to have these Brown Rice Crackers. I actually love crushing them and topping them on my salad for added crunch and flavour. I also dip them in low-fat cream or flavoured cheese or eat them with a small cut of low-fat cheddar cheese. Yummy!

These snacks are available nationwide and you can find more details in Food Should Taste Good website. You can also order online.

Review - Food Should Taste Good Kettle Cooked Chips

My family and I are not much into chips but we do indulge once in a while and we make sure that they are either baked or less fat and MSG. I'm glad I found Food Should Taste Good (FSTG) healthy options snacks and it's really nice to munch on something you know is a healthier option than the ones in the supermarket.

I am grateful for Food Should Taste Good company for sending me 4 of their tasty treats without giving us that guilt feeling of indulging on bad foods. I received the box few days ago and took a liking on how they presented the goodies to us. It's very elegantly boxed with a nice note for me and my family.

I received the following treats to taste and evaluate:

Kettle Corn Tortilla Chips

Kettle Cooked Barbeque Sweet Potato Chips (This one is our favorite! We loved the sweet BBQ taste!)

Kettle Cooked Salt & Vinegar Sweet Potato Chips

Kettle Cooked Salt &  Pepper Sweet Potato Chips

What I and my family liked:

Most of the chips are 25% less fat than the leading sweet potato chips
They are gluten-free.
Some of the chips are great for vegans.
They are healthier option compared to the other commercial chips found in the supermarkets.
No MSG added
They are cholesterol free food.
Some of the are made from whole grain like the Kettle Corn Tortillas.
They all tasted good and does not have that salty taste.
They are not oily at all.
We all loved the sweetness of the sweet potato. The flavors are really good!

What I don't like:

Maybe the only thing I can say about the food which I hoped would have been different was the amount of chips inside the pack. It tasted so good so we felt it wasn't enough. But all in all, we love everything about FSTG chips from the taste, flavors, texture and packaging.

My recommendations:

A big YES! If you are into chips and cannot seem to shake it all, you might as well switch to a healthier option which are the line of products from FSTG.

Food Should Taste Good is a company founded by Pete Lescoe in 2006 and is dedicated in making wholesome snacks which are great for vegans too and those with problems with gluten. All of the chips are gluten free, cholesterol free, certified Kosher and no cholesterol.

You can find more information about their products in the FTSG website, Facebook, Pinterest and Twitter.

Try out these other flavors of FTSG chips too!

Health Nut - Avoid The Bad Snacks

Two of the worst snacks in the world are chips and soda or those fizzy drinks. They are very high in sodium and sugar which are bad for one's health and weight.

If you are craving for sugary food and empty-nutrient chips, instead, snack on crunchy baby carrots, cucumber slices or throw in some celery sticks for good measure.

Drink green tea instead and enjoy it hot or cold. If you want to add a bit of sweetness to your beverage, just add a teaspoon of honey.

Girls Talk - Fave Chips

I am not a big lover of chips or junk food. I do eat once in a while when the craving for weird taste strikes. I do have a particular chips that I always buy when this craving strikes - Pringles Sour Cream and Onion (the green one). I just love the taste. I really don't care whether the taste and smell linger longer than usual even after you brush. It's my fave!

If you want to see what my other blogging sisters' favorite "sinful treats", head to Niko's blog and find out.

Bugger! Now I feel like eating chips!!!
