Review - Eden's Semilla Vitamin E Oil

Our skin tend to lose its suppleness as we age. I am not exempted from getting fine lines and dull skin as I reach my mid 40s. This is the right time to use moisturizers or skin oils to improve my skin's suppleness and retain moisture to keep it soft and smooth too.

Eden's Semilla Vitamin E Oil is the right product for me. I have been using it for more than a week now and so far, my face does not look dull nor dry due to the cold weather.

What I like:

• It is unscented. I am glad that it is because I really do not like products that are strongly scented with floral notes.
• It gets absorbed really fast.
• It does not leave greasy/oily after-feel.
• It does not make my face shiny.
• It is multi-use and can be applied to your face, body, hair, and nails.
• 2 tiny drops are all you need to cover the whole face, about 5 tiny drops for the legs, another 5 for the arms
• It also contains organic Rosehip and Jojoba Oil blends which act as carrier oils that are absorbed by our skin easily.
• It contains 35,000 IU (international unit, term used to measure fat-soluble in vitamins) of Vitamin E oil which is a good healing oil for tired, damaged skin.
• It eased the itchiness of my dry patches of skin near my ears.
• It cured my hangnails.
• My nails look healthier.
• My scalp is very sensitive and after using this every night; it is not as itchy as before.
• My skin feels so soft and smooth too!
• It hydrates my skin and scalp.

The Eden's Semilla Vitamin E Oil comes in a 120 ml/4 fl oz brown bottle with a separate twist cap and an eye dropper applicator.  It has a 12-months shelf life as indicated on the box.

What I don't like:

• Since the Vitamin E Oil is not very thick, the viscosity is almost like water, it drips easily from the eye-dropper even if I haven't release the rubber end of the pipette.  So, I have to be careful when getting drops from the bottle. I only take few and has to ensure that my palm is very near the bottle to avoid oil dripping.

My recommendation:
I highly recommend this product because a small drop really goes a long way. It is packed with organic Vitamin E oil to help nourish and hydrate my skin. I love the fact that it is also non-greasy considering it is an oil-based skin care and beauty product rolled in one.  It is my moisturizer, lotion, and scalp conditioner too! So, I get to save money on this product since I do not have to buy separate products to use for my face, body, nails, and hair.

I have tried many beauty serums and creams already. Each one has their outstanding features when compared to the others. For the cream-based type of beauty product, I think this is the 2nd or 3rd beauty cream I have tried that I actually liked.

What I like:
It is unscented. I prefer my beauty serums/creams unscented.

It is rich and creamy in texture but it is not very heavy on the face when applied.

It does not leave any greasy after-feel which is very important to me. I already have a combination skin type and  applying rich type of cream-based products make my face shine. eb5 didn't give me that shiny look at all.

I tried it as a base and applied make-up over it and it feels like I didn't have the cream on my face.

It is an intense moisture anti-aging cream which nourishes my combination skin.  I don't have dry patches on my face now.

It is paraben and gluten free.

It is gentle to the skin and hypoallergenic. I have sensitive skin and I didn't have any adverse reactions to this product.

It contains Vitamin E which helps in neutralizing free radicals in our system; giving our skin a nice glow.

It also has Vitamin A which helps delay the signs of aging and improve the skin's appearance.

It has comfrey root which helps support skin's water content.

It also has oat kernel flour to attract moisture.

My skin is smoother and pinkish.

(No filter, no photoshop - I don't even know how to use that. Just plain "me" without any foundation or blush on, just my eyeshadow makeup and the eb5)

What I don't like:
Nothing. I like this product and I find it very effective.

I have tried other serums before but this is the first time I have used a beauty serum that has Vitamin B12 in it. I thought it is a serum but actually, it is more of a cream because it is not in liquid form. The cream is pinkish in colour.

Vitamin B12 is good for our skin too. It helps in the renewal of healthy cells and helps in delaying the signs of aging.

What I like:
I like its cool effect when applied on my face. Aside from that, I have also applied it on the dry and itchy patches behind my ears.  The best thing about this cream is that I have used it on the itchy part of the back of my ears which tend to get very dry when the season's change. So, I applied a small amount each day behind my ears on the itchy and dry patches. And now, they are not as dry as before.

It is good for those with eczema, psoriasis, dry and itchy skin patches and skin rashes.

The Maxasorb B12 Serum is absorbent and is also gentle to the skin because it is hypoallergenic. It is like the Maxasorb D3 cream I have tried, thick/creamy consistency and yet it gets absorbed by the skin quite fast.

I also like the fact that I only need to press the pump twice for my daily dosage.

My face looks very radiant and my colleagues are already noticing that my skin is getting "pinkish" This product gave my skin a nice and natural glow because I barely use makeup and I only use eyeshadow and not blush on.

This product has a very faint "minty" scent and I like it a lot. It gives off that soothing vibes and perhaps that is also the reason why it soothes my itchy skin patches.

What I like:

Feeling Beautiful Freeman Products

I am not a big fan of beauty masks and I seldom use one. My regular routine in cleaning my face is a simple use of water, facial cleanser and beauty serums. However, I realized my skin needs deep cleaning too especially I have slightly large pores. I am glad to try these Feeling Beautiful masks from Freeman because they're great to my skin.

I received these masks complimentary of Influenster and Freeman so I can test them. The pack contains:

​Avocado and Oatmeal Mask
I like this mask because it has a smooth and creamy texture that doesn't leave my skin feeling like it was rubbed with sugar granules unlike the other beauty masks I have tried in the past. It also has a nice, faint sugary scent.

Honeydew and Chamomile Sleeping Mask

This mask has a creamy feel when applied.  I just feel it is a bit heavy and thick but when I woke up, my skin felt so smooth and clean.

Charcoal and Black Sugar Polishing Mask

I am not a big fan of the colour of this mask. It has sugary texture but not as rough as I had imagined. I also didn't take a liking on the faint scent. It smelled funny. However, much as the texture and scent were not compatible with my preferences, it did clean my face. I felt my skin was cleaner beyond clean. :)

Cucumber Peel-Off Mask

I like this peeling mask a lot. I have tried other brands in the past but this one is smooth and dries quickly. It is almost like a vacuum pack attached on your skin but when you peel it off, it doesn't break like the other brands. I like the smell too. It has that nice cool effect too.

Coffee and Chai Energizing Paper Eye Mask

This one is nice and has a cool effect around my eyes area. I took this with me during my recent trip to Amsterdam because I knew I would need it for a good night sleep after a long day of gallivanting. The paper mask has a nice faint coffee and tea scent which is so nice. The cool effect relaxed me too. The paper mask didn't fall off and tear when I applied it. When I removed the mask, my eyes area felt like they were refreshed. 

I would recommend these products because they are effective. Even if some of them did not actually make my preferential treatment, I cannot deny the fact that they did wonders on my skin.

Review - Insta Natural Scar Gel #ScarGel

I recently had 2 unsightly scars on my left and right cheeks due to 2 big pimple breakout. I am already in my mid-40s and I find it really strange to develop acne at my age and let alone, big ones! So, I am very glad to try out this Insta Natural Scar Gel product because I wanted to lighten those scars because they stand out due to my fair complexion.

Insta Natural Scar Gel comes in a 1 fl. oz (30 ml) container with a pump nozzle as a dispenser. The gel is brownish in colour with a faint "weird" smell I find hard to describe. It's too faint so it shouldn't bother you.

It does not remove scar but lightens it so it looks flat on the skin sans the redness/brownish effect and it makes visibility lesser as you use this product continuously.

What I like:
It's easy to apply. Just wash your face and apply a small amount over the scar.
It does not have any stinging effect on the scar.
I can take it with me during my travel for more scar coverage.
It has ingredients like Sea Kelp, Fucoxanthin, Astaxanthin, Green Tea and Gotu Kola which help in fortifying the skin with antioxidants to minimise external damage and helps protect the skin from pollutants.
It has Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF) which stimulate healing.
It is lightweight and does not leave my skin looking greasy nor shiny.
It works and I have been using it for more than a week now and can see improvements on the visibility of my scars.
It can be used on any scars, not just on your face. I used on my not-so-old scar on my left hand where a hot oil spilled on. My scar used to be brownish/reddish but after a week of continuous usage, it has lightened in appearance.

What I don't like:
The nozzle. If you press to hard, too much scar gel is dispensed and you cannot put the excess back.

My recommendation:
A big yes as I have seen improvements on the appearance of my scars. However, be cautious when you use this product as you cannot use it scars from surgeries that just recently healed or stitches removed.

Review - Poppy Austin Eye Cream #poppyaustin

I tend to get dark circles under my eyes because sometimes I sleep very late. So, using the Poppy Austin Eye Cream with Green Tea and Vitamin C was a perfect choice.

I tried using the Poppy Austin Best Eye Cream for dark circles to see if it would work. I used it for 2 weeks to see the effects. Don`t expect instant improvement and lightening of your dark under eye circles. It does take more than a week to see the results. The cream has no stinging effect. It is in thick cream consistency so you can use it sparingly on the dark circles on the eyes area.

I will continue to use this because I have seen improvements after more than a week`s use. My dark under eye area is not as dark. It has a lightened look.

Review - Key West Dark Spot Corrector with Hyaluronic and Kojic Acid

I have tried other beauty serums that actually lightens my complexion with further use but this is the first time I have tried a product with kojic acid and HA combined.

I like the fact that the of this product is more liquid than gel type. I initially thought it was meant for scars only. But this is only for the face, neck and decolletage use.

I liked the lightweight feel of the serum unlike some of the serums I have tried in the past. They were a bit gooey but Key West was not. It didn't make my face look and feel greasy. Another thing that I liked about this product is that it didn't sting when I accidentally applied a small amount near my raw pimple area on the right cheek.

I noticed my age spots slightly becoming light. So I also tested it on my new scar which I got after I got hot cooking oil splatter on my left hand. In just few days, the lightening effect was already visible.

Review - Konjac Facial Sponge with Activated Bamboo Charcoal #wonderpiel

This is the first time I have used a facial sponge. I was adamant to try it at first because of its colour and texture. However, everything changed when I soaked it in water.

The sponge is actually soft when wet. It didn't give me that coarse feeling when I was scrubbing my face with it. Actually, I find it to be very soft like a cotton only with plenty of holes.

The next thing I noticed about this Konjac facial sponge is that even when it was gray in colour, it still looked very clean even after several use. Of course, I am washing it after every use but I was thinking that skin flakes would accumulate in the wide pores of the sponge but they didn't.

Another thing I liked about this product is that it has a small thread so you can hang it to dry.

According to the product info, the konjac fiber is grown on a very high altitude in Japan, Korea and China so it is pollutant free. It is filled with precious nutrients such as protein, carbohydrate, iron, phosphorus, copper, zinc, vitamins A, E, D, B1, B2, B6, B12, C and folic acid.

My skin is softer after using this product for several days consecutively. I have sensitive skin but it didn't give me rashes. So I like that effect too.

All in all, I find the product effective in terms of gently exfoliating and cleaning my face. I haven't used it on my body yet as I prefer to use it exclusively on my face only. The konjac sponge also has two sides with different layers so the other side can be used for the body.

I liked the product and I will continue to use it. I like that it is effectively exfoliating and cleaning my skin while making it soft. My skin didn't become reddish as I have sensitive skin which makes this konjac sponge perfect even for those with sensitive skin.
