Feeling Beautiful Freeman Products

I am not a big fan of beauty masks and I seldom use one. My regular routine in cleaning my face is a simple use of water, facial cleanser and beauty serums. However, I realized my skin needs deep cleaning too especially I have slightly large pores. I am glad to try these Feeling Beautiful masks from Freeman because they're great to my skin.

I received these masks complimentary of Influenster and Freeman so I can test them. The pack contains:

​Avocado and Oatmeal Mask
I like this mask because it has a smooth and creamy texture that doesn't leave my skin feeling like it was rubbed with sugar granules unlike the other beauty masks I have tried in the past. It also has a nice, faint sugary scent.

Honeydew and Chamomile Sleeping Mask

This mask has a creamy feel when applied.  I just feel it is a bit heavy and thick but when I woke up, my skin felt so smooth and clean.

Charcoal and Black Sugar Polishing Mask

I am not a big fan of the colour of this mask. It has sugary texture but not as rough as I had imagined. I also didn't take a liking on the faint scent. It smelled funny. However, much as the texture and scent were not compatible with my preferences, it did clean my face. I felt my skin was cleaner beyond clean. :)

Cucumber Peel-Off Mask

I like this peeling mask a lot. I have tried other brands in the past but this one is smooth and dries quickly. It is almost like a vacuum pack attached on your skin but when you peel it off, it doesn't break like the other brands. I like the smell too. It has that nice cool effect too.

Coffee and Chai Energizing Paper Eye Mask

This one is nice and has a cool effect around my eyes area. I took this with me during my recent trip to Amsterdam because I knew I would need it for a good night sleep after a long day of gallivanting. The paper mask has a nice faint coffee and tea scent which is so nice. The cool effect relaxed me too. The paper mask didn't fall off and tear when I applied it. When I removed the mask, my eyes area felt like they were refreshed. 

I would recommend these products because they are effective. Even if some of them did not actually make my preferential treatment, I cannot deny the fact that they did wonders on my skin.

Review - Rimmel Gentle Eye Makeup Remover #Rimmel

I like Rimmel products because they are suitable for the urban chic. I use some of Rimmel London's products like the eyeliner and lipstick but this is the first time I have tried the Rimmel Gentle Eye Makeup Remover courtesy of Influenster for the Frosty Voxbox campaign.

I have tried other makeup remover in the past but they tend to get a bit greasy and I don't like that kind of after feel where my skin is oilier than ever. However, Rimmel Gentle Eye Makeup Remover does not disappoint in that aspect.

Another plus for this product is that it is easy to remove the 'long-wear' type of makeup and I don't have to scrub or wipe off numerous times just to get the makeup off my eyelids/eye area.

It doesn't sting as well. The other products I have used would slightly sting my eye but this one is gentle.

Also, this product is unscented. I prefer my beauty products unscented because I tend to get migraine with over-powering scented beauty products.

Rimmel London Gentle Eye Makeup Remover comes in a .2 fl oz (125 ml) plastic bottle with a flip cap and is Made in Monaco.

I highly recommend this gentle eye makeup remover especially if you have sensitive skin like me.

My Celestial Seasonings Taste Test from Influenster's #FrostyVoxBox #CelestialTea

Yummmmmy. The word to describe this slightly sweet, minty, light tea from Celestial Seasonings Tea.  I love to drink tea and this is the first time I have tasted a tea that reminds me of Christmas. Oh wait, it is the Christmas season and the taste of this Celestial Seasonings Tea is just that - Christmassy!

It has a slight sweetness with a tad minty taste too. It is not a very strong tea for my taste, rather, it has that smooth taste and in my opinion, it's great to drink it during cold days and nights where you just sit by the fireplace with a cup of hot Celestial Seasonings. Of course, I'm sure it's great to drink all year round but that's how I associate the taste to the cold season. If there is a comfort food, then this is the "comfort drink."

My ModaVoxBox From Influenster #ModaVoxBox

I received this wonderful ModaVoxBox from Influenster few days ago and I am so thrilled to try the freebies inside!

This box contains products from well-known companies like Swiss Miss, Rimmel, Resource, Puffs, Jergens and Clairol.

I tried the Swiss Miss Simply Cocoa this weekend for breakfast and I am very satisfied with this new rich cocoa flavor of Swiss Miss.

The next product I have tried was the Hair Food Moisture Hair Mask from Clairol. It helped soften and smoothen my hair and I felt like I came from a nice hair spa! The fragrance is so nice too! I like the scent of apricot in my hair. This hair mask helps keep your hair moisturized and the honey helps in coating the hair for added protection.

The Jergens Ultra Healing Extra Dry Skin Moisturizer is amazingly light to the feel and does not leave any greasy after feel. It is a great hand lotion too and I will check how my hands will look and feel like after a week.

The Puff Soft Pack is a favorite of mine. Even from the previous vox boxes from Influenster, I have already fell in love with this tissue. It is so soft and has the silky texture that it's very safe to use on your face too. I love how handy it is that I can slip it in my tote bag, especially now that I've been sneezing like crazy. The Puffs will come very handy.

The Rimmel London Moisture Renew Lipliner is perfect because it's clear and it will stop the lipstick from becoming feathery.

The Rimmel London Moisture Renew Lipstick has moisturizer that keeps my lips well moisturized while having a pop of nice "plum" color. It's not too dark for my skin tone which I like.

Another Rimmel product in the ModaVoxBox is the Rimmel London Scandaleyes Rockin' Curves Mascara adds extra definition to my long and curly lashes.

Resource Spring Water has that very "clean" taste that I really like. I drank it after a nice workout to replenish the lost water in my body as it has naturally occurring electrolytes. I like the fact that the bottle is 100% recyclable too.

I Love Swiss Miss! #SwissMissSimplyCocoa

Puffy Ivory Project

I have seen some videos in YouTube about a piece of an Ivory soap being microwaved and that piece expanded to a puff of whiteness. I am not sure how that happened so I and my daughter tried it with a very small piece because I don't want the whole thing occupying my microwave. I set the microwave for 30 seconds only. And voila!

Yes! It does expand into a thing of puffy whiteness. We poked it. We touched it and tried to mould it again but it became flaky but still sudsy and worked like a soap. Amazing! A piece of Ivory can turn into a bigger piece of weird puff of whiteness that you can still use. Saves you money big time!

Unboxing my JollyVoxBox from Influenster

I received my JollyVoxBox from Influenster recently. The box came after the holidays but I don't mind because I love what's inside the JollyVoxBox!

At first bite, it tasted like Reese's but this is a milder version when it comes to sweetness. Ducklings - Mini Rolls of Duck Brand Duct Tape for $2-$3 per roll
This is the last one I opened from the pack. It' so cute and it's so duct tape! I love the funky splash of color designs on the mini-roll I got. So, I used it to my sticky pad as a pen holder. It's great for frames and other art projects you have in mind that can use a little creativity and splash of color. Since it is a duct tape, we all know how strong the adhesive is so it'll be great for repair as well, not just crafting.

NYC HD Color Trio Eye Shadow Review

I don't buy makeup too often because I just like and very contented with my makeup-less look. However, there are times when I do buy because I like the shimmery effect, the creaminess and softness it feels on my face. NYC New York Color HD Color Trio Eye Shadow is like that.

I received this NYC HD Color Trio (Long Beach Sands) from Influenster as part of the JollyVoxBox campaign. I tried it several times to gauge the velvety texture when applied on the lids. I honestly like it. It is smooth and has that shimmer effect which I love in eyeshadows.

I also like the fact that it is a great makeup for achieving that smoky eyes effect. I love the look of smoky eyes and it makes my eyes  mysterious and yet glam at the same time.

The NYC New York Color HD Color Trio Eye Shadow (Long Beach Sands) is the perfect color of choice. I love neutrals and earthy tones and this makeup palette is just fabulous.

Now, for the nitty-gritty details, here are my findings:

What I like:
Color! I just love neutrals so much. It blends well with my skin tone.
The velvety texture when applied either with a sponge applicator (as provided in the makeup palette) or with small eyeshadow brush.
It has the shimmer effect I like in eyeshadows.
It does stay a bit longer than usual. I applied mine around noon today and by 5 p.m., the eyeshadow was still very visible.
It is easily removed with a makeup remover.
It is fragrant-free. I try my best to not use makeups with overpowering scent. I stick with the non-scented ones most of the time.

What I don't like:
It tends to get loose and powdery so you can't take it anywhere because the palette may break.
The makeup container does not have a mirror. You have to grab one if you want to apply this makeup eyeshadow.

Comes in 3 colors for  highlighting, balancing and for the crease in earthy tones with a 2-sided sponge applicator and plastic/transparent cover.

My recommendation:
Yes. This is a good product except for the minor set backs. I do recommend this product.
