Review - Valentia Royal Rose Hydrating Serum

I have received this product for free in exchange of my unbiased review.

This is the second Valentia product I have tried and in both cases, I love to use. The first one was the Valentia Organic Rosehip Oil which I utilized last year.

Now, I have the opportunity to test the Valentia Royal Rose Hydrating Serum and I am glad I tried it. I usually get dry skin around my eyebrows area and patches on my cheeks especially when the season is changing. I tend to get very dry and scaly skin around my eyebrows that I sometimes use emolient lotion to stop the itching. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. So the first patch of skin I applied this Valentia Royal Rose Hydrating Serum was around those eyebrow skin areas.

I have been using this product for more than a week now. I have noticed the less scaly and dry patch on my cheeks. The skin around my eyebrows are not as dry and itchy. I apply this twice a day, once in the morning and then at night before bedtime.

The Valentia Royal Rose Hydrating Serum is perfect for those with dry and sensitive skin because it hydrates and soothes the skin. I noticed that when I applied it on my face and neck, I felt a faint cool effect on my skin. And amazingly, even if it contains Rosehip Seed oil, it does not leave oily residue on my skin.

It contains:

- Rose Damascena: One of the most nourishing and skin friendly natural oils, providing balance, moisture, and a variety of vitamins and minerals to the skin.
- Niacinamide (Vitamin B): This potent vitamin has been clinically proven to fade away hyperpigmentation, sun spots, and acne..
- Rosehip Seed Oil: Naturally rich in Vitamins C & A, these essential fatty acids work quickly to lock in skin's moisture.
- Evening Primrose Oil: Provides light, non-oily moisture to the skin, never clogging or irritating the skin.
- Bearberry: Reduces melanin production, thereby lightening the skin, revealing a brighter complexion.
- Lavender: Heals the skin, treating pimples, wounds, and sores.

The instruction indicates to follow with a moisturizer after application. I don't use moisturizer after applying this serum on my skin. And I don't see any ill effects. In fact, my skin is more supple, smooth and not as dry as before.

The only critique I have about this product is that it smells like a very faint rose. And I don't like my beauty or facial skin care products to have floral scent. I prefer unscented ones. But the scent does not really have an impact on the effectivity of this serum. All in all, I will definitely buy this again.

This is available in Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/NEW-Hydrating-Sensitive-Damascena-Niacinamide/dp/B01AHVGZNM/

The product comes in a luxurious looking glossy box, in 1.18 0z brown glass bottle with a nozzle pump and transparent cap.

Made in USA.

Seasonal Skin Blemish

The weather is getting quite cool here in Dubai. It is this seasonal changes where my skin breaks out in rashes and other skin irritations. My face even becomes more oily considering the weather is cool and it should make my pores a little tight.

I think I have to minimize the use of a rich moisturizer for now so I don't aggravate my skin. A use of
therapores will use help in staving future break outs to save my skin from further damage.

Maybe I should change my moisturizer into a light one so I don't get too oily or I can actually fry an egg on my face! I have also avoided using facial soap for the time being just to clear away the blemish and rashes.

My face is not the only affected area. Even my arms have small rashes. I think I got this from playing with the fall leaves in Staten Island few days ago. I remember kicking all the dry leaves and started to feel a bit itchy on some of my arms but not on the legs area. Hmmmmm..... I hope there was no poison ivy anywhere on the bunch of leaves I have happily kicked around.

Anyway, my seasonal skin blemish is causing a stir at the moment. I am careful with my food intake too. Lesser fatty and fried stuff and more on fresh fruits and vegetables.

I hope this skin blemish goes away fast. I feel very uncomfortable.

Summer is Really Here!

Goodness! It is so hot outside that you don't need to take a bath because you'll soak on your own sweat! Gross, I know but it is true.

The air is so hot and dry. I am having breakouts again because of this seasonal changes. My cheeks are pinkish (hihihihi) and have small rashes like pin-pricks. Arggghhh! I can't put any creme on my face because it will only make my skin more oily than it already is.

Summer is really, really here. There is no denying that anymore. While it is raining in the Philippines like cats and dogs, here, it is the opposite. Sometimes I am tempted to do a "rain dance" to call on rain clouds. We can use a few drizzle here and there.

Beauty Tip 101 - Winter Skin Wake-Up!

We can't deny it but the cold season is on! So much for the hot summer months and hello winter!

winter season brings forth pale and dewy skin because of the cold climate. Cell renewal slows down resulting to skin thickening to protect itself. Due to that, the skin tends to be less vibrant, flat and grey. Use hydrating serums with hyaluronic acid to nourish and moisturize dry skin.
