RollinPets Nail Clipper and Pet Massager with Store Away Bag Review

My doggie liked the massage brush a lot. She normally does not sit still when it comes to brushing time but when I used the RollinPets massage brush on her, she was well behaved. I could tell that she was having a good time being pampered. The brush is made of soft rubber so it's perfect for massaging during bath time and even when my dog is already dry. The bristles are huge and conical in shape so it glides through my doggie's curly fur without tagging the other hair.



The nail clipper is a bit large for my grip. good thing that it has a spring coil so there's was lesser effort with the usage. I just find the big clipper a bit of a hassle for me because I have small hands so my grip is limited. But that is okay because the size of the clipper will be perfect for bigger or larger breed of dogs. You can still use it for smaller to medium sized dogs, just be cautious as the blades are sharp.

The whole set comes with a free waterproof pouch to keep all of them together. I have the tendency to misplace my dog's old nail clipper and the pouch bag provide safety and security when you're not using the products.

This is perfect for your dogs and cats. Although the clipper is quite big for my grip, it is easy to use and sharp. I like the fact that it has a store-away bag so I can keep them dust-free and safe from the elements. The massager is a big hit for my diva dog who fusses over brushes. This is one massager brush that she enjoyed a lot.

If you follow my blog, you probably know I am a doting mom to my daughter and a fur baby whom we call Millie, the Diva Dog. She's our adopted dog and I have taken her in when she was around 5 or 6 years old already. Even the previous owners were unsure of her real age as she was also rescued form a dumpster when she was a puppy. So, Millie is our precious baby because she has been given twice the chance to live a happy and normal doggie life.

Millie cannot be forever young. We adopter her last 2009 and now that she is around either 11 or 12 and that is old for a dog's age. She is still lively and robust for her age but now as jumpy as the past.

I have received the Arthropet for our Millie to try. NeoCell's Arthropet Collagen Pet Rescue dietary supplement wafers is a help for our Millie. She has been running around like she was when she was younger. She loves the Arthropet so much. And why did I say that? Well, as soon as I opened the bottle's protective seal, she smelled it already and ran to me to beg for one.

I think my Millie loves the Arthropet because I give her one in the morning before her main breakfast and she chows it down even when she's still sleepy. And that doesn't feel each time I give her in the morning. She eats it with gusto and starts to become lively even at 6 in the morning! She's normally a morning dog but not that early. Giving Thanks Today

It's so nice to wake up in the morning feeling refreshed and relaxed after a long and taxing work week. And what's so great about this morning is that I thank God for another day, for the beautiful weather, for the family beside me, for a quirky little pooch sleeping on the foot of the bed, for the cozy bed, for the home, for the food on the table, for the warm clothing and there are just too many to be thankful for. 

I don't have to wait for Thanksgiving to appreciate everything around me for today is another day and I shall live it to the fullest!

Chibi Millie Sketches

It's not a secret that my daughter can draw and she can draw really well. I am surprised myself to see how her sketches develop from a seed of idea.

Last night, I put her talent to the test again. She already passed when I asked her to make my birthday giveaway logo few months ago. And I love Japanese manga-like drawing so it was what I asked her to draw and she delivered. So, to put her on the spot again and see how she has developed so far, I made her draw our darling little Bichon Frise pooch. She asked me how I envisioned her outcome to be. I told her I just want a front profile of Millie and the other funny antics that she does as a cute, little dog.

Half an hour later, here are her sketches. She has more though but I will post them later because she wants to improve the sketches. She also made a .gif  to make our little pooch wagging and tongue-swaying. Cute and lovely! Kudos to her! I think and feel she will have a bright future in graphics design or even in the field of animation.

Aim for the star my princess because I can see it is within your reach.

Gift for Millie

Our loving and diva dog - Millie, is celebrating her 2nd Christmas with us. Last year, we didn't get her anything. I wanted to give something cute and "functional" to our four-legged baby. I scouted on numerous gift ideas for pets and narrowed my choice to personalized frisbees.

Dogs love to run in the park and play "catch" or fetch. A frisbee will be good for her. She will have heaps of fun running around and getting exercised as well. I hope the pet shops here carry some frisbees so there are choices. I'm not sure though if I can find a place to do the personalization of the stuff. If I were back home, this task would be a piece of cake!

Happy Millie

Hubby and I decided to have a breakfast at the nearby McDonald's. We took Millie along. We haven't walked Millie for sometime now because of the extreme weather. That won't be too good for her and for me too.

I just noticed how Millie loves to go around for a drive. She prefers sitting in the car rather than walking. She always sit in the middle of the road after few minutes of walk and loves to be carried. Such a diva!

We sometimes take her to our family outings but Dubai is not too pet friendly in most public places. So, what we do is just tag her along and let her see the beaches and the neighborhood.

This was taken last year on our trip to Atlantis in The Palm, Jumeirah. She had fun! We did too :)

Nail Clipping and Millie

It is such an arduous task to clip our Millie's nails. Giving her bath is a different story. I have tried to put muzzle on her and she still wigged her way out of it. I tried bribing her with treats she loved. She ended up running away with the loot and left me at her trail.

I tried to clip her again yesterday. My approach was different. I hugged her first and showed the clipper to her. She ran straight to her bed. I approached her and let her smelled the clipper. She was hesitant at first but I tried again. I did not shove the clipper to her face, just showed it to her few inches away from her probing nose. Then, I held her paw lightly while assuring her that it would not hurt and I would just clip one nail. I looked like a loony talking to her but she seemed to not mind. I think, she was even enjoying the extra attention. She did not pull her paw this time and amazingly, she allowed me to clip, not just one, but 3 nails!!! Yey!

I have finally found the move to use to clip her. I hope she will cooperate again tomorrow. I still have more nails to clip.

Burn Baby! Burn!

Before you think ahead, no, it's not my rendition of one of the popular songs of the 70's. I am talking about wanting to burn belly fat. I have gained significant amount of weight during the past year and I am slowly shedding it off. Like the adage goes, slowly but surely and that is what I am doing right now.

I have been regularly walking my Millie and running at the treadmill at least twice a week for half an hour. My weight budges ever so slowly probably because my metabolism has slowed down due to age. Anyway, I have kept track of my eating habits and what I actually put in my mouth every meal. I must say, this taking down notes on the food I eat really works like a charm because whenever I am about to take chips and sodas, I am reminded of the kind of food entry I will put in the diary and that is bad! Shame on me! So, I stick to this practice and I am good.

My Life's Full of SCRAP!

LOL! And you all thought it's something else huh? I have been busy learning digital scrapping lately and the pages I have done so far are simple. I am learning the rudiments of using a template, getting ideas and using the various textures and embellishments to make my page more interesting.

I managed to get tons of ideas and embellishments for my pages and I can't seem to put what where. My mind is in disarray because of the multitude of choices around. Oh well, my life's full of SCRAP!
